- Hey there people, Happy Black Friday! There is no way on God's green earth I am going near any retail establishment today, just to let you know. I worked retail, so I have experienced hell firsthand. It is not pretty. Also, I have no time since I'm working both jobs. Thirdly, I am sleep deprived and pretty crabby. Last thing I need is some old lady running me over with her cart over a $5 toaster. ROTF
- So yeah, the last few days have been fun. Wednesday morning was the grocery run. We didn't encounter too many crazies at Walmart or Lucky, but we started shopping at 7:30am so I think we lucked out. We bought a ton of food for Thanksgiving, and we have a ton of leftovers now. Oh well. I got a decent amount of sleep later on, then made dinner and watched some TV before work.
- Thanksgiving was okay, although I only got about 3 hours of sleep that day. I worked the overnight shift that morning, then home for what little rest I could muster. Tried for more but Cathy busted in my room to take a shower in my bathroom. Oh well. Then I got up, showered, picked up Michelle and Dad, made a very necessary Starbucks run, dropped them off, and came to work at Traffic. I worked there almost 8 hours until 8pm. There was stuff to do but nothing too stressful.
- I also caught a marathon of 50s Dance Party on KOFY 20. Those of you not from the Bay Area may not remember it but back in the late 80s, music from the 50s had a brief resurgence and all the middle aged and old geezers put on their greaser outfits and poodle skirts and shook their heinies. In one episode they played "The Stripper Song" and old guys took off their shirts. ROTF. Mom used to watch that show with us every Sunday afternoon when we were kids and dance along while doing housework. That show was the sh*t. Before that I was watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade on CBS and that made me even more emotional. From seeing a Smurf balloon to promos for Frosty The Snowman, anything connecting my childhood holiday years brought a tear to my eye. *sigh*.
- So after work there I went home and tried to take a nap. I got about 30 minutes of rest in. Needless to say I was a bit cranky. I was kind of snappy to both Michelle and Dad who didn't deserve it. After grabbing some leftovers to take for my dinner, I dropped them off at home then came to work here. I gave Victoria a ride home, settled into work, did my Bible Study and dozed for like 3 hours. Haha. I feel A LOT better, although still bushed. I'll get 6 hours of sleep this morning before working at Traffic again, and I'm off work tonight. Thank God it's Friday!
- Weekend should be low key. Working in SF on Saturday morning, and dragging my butt back to church Sunday morning. Rest of the time will be spent resting, I hope. Oh and eating leftovers. :-)
