- Hey there momma. I thought I would blog about something more private and emotional than usual today. Something I was talking about with Michelle yesterday morning, and even with Kimmie over last weekend. I don't know why but putting my feelings into writing is so much easier then talking about it. I've been blogging for like 2 years now, at least on my blogspot. Ain't that a trip? Life sure has changed, lemme tell ya.
- Anyway, on with the main topic. It's hard to put this into words just thinking about this. Since you've been gone (insert Kelly Clarkson hook here.. ) I've gone through a rash of emotions. Tons of them. Hurt, anger, fear, abandonment, insanity. It kind of feels like I've been orphaned. Yes I'm almost 28 years old. A little too grown up to be considered one. You see, Dad is still technically here. So I can't say that anyway. He is not being a Dad, that's the thing. His short term memory is way shot, he can't remember what you told him 2 minutes ago. Every time we go shopping I have to remind him that he's buying the groceries, that he doesn't smoke anymore, things like that. He also forgets what day it is, what month it is, what year it is. Once in a while he wakes up and asks where Mom is. Luckily I don't live there so I don't have to explain that one. Oh yes, and he's usually very grumpy. Most of the time. Rarely cracks a smile, always telling me to stop talking so much. I mean some of this is probably because I remind him of Mom. I look/sound just like her, and I'm usually cracking jokes like she always did. On the other hand, he's always been kind of the party pooper. He's been telling me to shut up for years. So yeah Mom is gone and now my father's the equivalent of a 3 yr old, least it feels like it. So that's my sob story as of late.
- I'm not trying to throw a pity party or anything like that, don't worry. Just something I wanted to get off my chest, so people know where I'm coming from. So if I'm bitchy sometimes, remember what I'm dealing with.. that and working way too much. Waaah waaaah.
- I'm still praising God all the way, of course. I'm so blessed to have great friends to keep my spirits up when I feel like crawling in a hole somewhere. I thank God every day for his grace, cuz I sure have screwed up here and there. Anyway, that's what's been on my mind the past day or so.
- In other exciting news, I went walking both Wednesday and Thursday mornings with Michelle. I went to La Pinata on Thursday night and had a killer grilled chicken burrito famoso. I'm eating the leftovers as we speak. I love mexican food.
- This weekend should be pretty cool. I'm getting some OT later today working a half shift. Saturday night I'm going out with Brad and Victoria from work, I'll bring my camera for that one. I'll probably make another insane video out of it. Okay taa-taa for now!

this video if off da heezy
- Hey there momma. I've been having weird dreams lately. And I mean weird. Am I going to share them with the world? Of course. Okay on Sunday morning I had this dream that I went with you, Dad, and Michelle to Newpark Mall or something. I was finishing a corn dog when all of a sudden we saw what I can describe as a Muppet Carnival. It was a carnival with rides, booths and fun stuff, completely run and populated by Muppets. As you all know, I LOVE THE MUPPETS! That is a complete understatement. If I met an actual Muppet even with the Muppeteer's hand up it's butt, I'd faint. Seriously. I love Sesame Street and The Muppets way too much. This place was full of them. In my dream I took like 75,000 pictures and everyone was having a blast. Then, they all left in a big fancy parade procession. Muppets and kids, then Big Bird took you (Mom) in your chair and pushed it along the procession, and you all went away. It was a sad ending, but so awesome at the same time. Guess it's my way of knowing you're in a happy place, maybe kickin it with Jim Henson or something. Tell him "Wussup!" if you see him, okay?
- Okay then on Monday I had this dream that I was trapped in this sitcom with Kirstie Alley playing my mom and Daniel Stern playing my dad. I asked Kirstie what's up and she's like "I'm playing your mother." then I pointed at grown up Kevin Arnold (ask Kimmie) and she's like "Yeah well he's got blue eyes and he's retarded. Travolta was busy." Then she told me "Just stay on the right track, do the right thing and you'll be okay." My subconscious does weird stuff lately, I swear.
- Anyway in my nonsleeping time, life has been pretty routine. I went to the gym yesterday morning, yay for me. Also took Michelle and Dad to OSH, Target and Starbucks. Thrilling. I should go walking (I always say "should" since Michelle always says she wants to go, but I call her at 7am and she's like "I'm tired.. waaah waah" so I end up hitting the gym.. oh well) or hit the gym after work this morning. Then it's grocery day. Hooray.
- I made a funnyass video from my weekend adventures with Kimmie. I'll be posting an interesting blog on the Mandys N More page in a bit so look out for that if you're bored. My top 40 on my page is on "random" so if you need a link it's www.myspace.com/mandysnmore. Yeah check it. So here's the video.. enjoy! P.S. It's not supposed to make sense, and I had to edit a lot out for time.
Another crazy weekend

this town needs an enema!
- Hey there Momma. I am TIRED. I had one fantastic weekend, though. Let me start from Friday, and I'll try to detail as much as possible. I will do an even more detailed blog with illustrations tomorrow on the Mandy's N More blog.. just FYI. I haven't had a chance to upload pics or make any video montages just yet. Okay so anyway, Friday was pretty cool. I went to dinner with Michelle (you treated technically Mom, don't ask), we went to TGI Fridays. Then we got ice cream from Coldstone. God I love Coldstone. I love ice cream period. We brought some home for Cathy and TJ. Then Michelle and I watched Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on the Food Network when Davina came over. We're all fat girls so the Food Network is like watching hot ripped guys washing cars on a hot Sunday afternoon. You get the drift. Man nothing is more awesome than eating ice cream and watching the Food Network. Mmmmm. So a while later we dropped Michelle off at home and went to Dennys. I had a diet cherry coke since I had enough food earlier. It was pretty fun just getting out though.
- Saturday was another awesome day. How many times can I say awesome in this blog? I have no clue. So I worked at KDFC like I always do. It was pretty fun and routine. Lots of listeners leave bitter voicemail because they say it's not classical enough. I think classical music is so full of snobs, especially here in the Bay Area, where everyone on the other side of the bay (San Francisco, Marin, Palo Alto) acts like they're the shite since their real estate is worth twice as much and they pay over $4 for gas. Okay enough complaining. After work I headed on over to Lodi to kick it with Kimmie and got there at 3pm on the dot. Her mom was there, and boy was that interesting. You'll see from the video I make in the next day or two. Anyway we started by watching the pilot episode of He-Man. Then, the He-Man live action movie starring Dolph Lundgren and Courtney Cox. It was god awful. Let's see, after that we started to watch Superman III, and got about 10 minutes into it when Joyce and Mulletene (ask Kimmie.. LOL) showed up unexpectedly. Then we all watched Alvin And The Chipmunks. Jason Lee looks SO much better without facial hair. Also, I LOVE Matthew Gray Gubler because he's a hot dork on Criminal Minds (I named my cat Spencer after his character), and he was the voice of Simon. Pretty cute movie. They left soon after that, and I put on Bushwhacked starring Daniel Stern. Boy is he goofy, and that movie was retarded. Hence why I wasted an hour and a half of our lives watching it. I got a lovely screencap I'll show you guys. Next, Kimmie put on Rosemary's Baby, but I passed out like 5 minutes into the movie. She threw a New Kids blanket at me during it and I woke up when Mia Farrow was whining about their new apartment. That's all I remember.
- Sunday was also a totally awesome day. LOL We finally got to watch Superman III, starring the ever so hot Christopher Reeve (RIP) and Richard Pryor, who was insane (RIP to you too). Boy wait till you see the clips, folks. I'm not dropping hints yet. After that was watched The Making Of Superman III. That was cool, and Chris' 80s hairdo was stylin. Then we took a fantastic field trip up the street. First to Apple Marketplace, which is NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE, least their check-out stands aren't. We have video of it too. We picked up sour cream and wine coolers. Good combo. Then we went to Baskin Robbins, (did I mention how much I love and adore ice cream? Guess the double chin gives it away...) and listened to old school Peter Cetera and the Backstreet Boys. Two separate songs. If they did a song together, boy that would be a winner. Then we crossed the street to Starbucks. No Kenny Rogers/Michael McDonald look-a-likes, sorry folks. We were hunting for some but no luck. We still had fun there anyway. We headed on back to Kimmie's house, and I put on one of my favorite movies, Batman. The best one, with my movie boyfriend Michael Keaton.... and Jack Nicholson who is hilarious but definitely not my movie boyfriend. I LOVE that movie!! "This town needs an enema!!" Then we put on Rosemary's Baby, and I saw most of it. That movie is CREEPY. Mia Farrow can't sing, and the hair/clothes of the 60s were um interesting. Also, Roman Polanski is a great director I guess, but they were trying too hard with the whole experimental thing with this one. I had to leave at 9pm to go home, but I wish I didn't have to. We have so much fun just watching and critiquing bad movies.
- Oh yeah, I was pretty much sick the whole weekend. I had a sinus infection that started maybe on Thursday night with my swollen ears and painful throat. Friday I felt sluggish and my throat hurt. Saturday I was kinda feverish all day and blowing lots of yellow snot everywhere. Sunday I was still kinda beat, and still blowing tons of yellow snot. Right now I'm okay, but I've started coughing up yellow phlegmballs. Fun. I love my sinuses, and every 2-3 months, they seem to love me too.

i wanna be with you everywhere...
- Hey there Momma. The weekend is here once again. I should be having fun, since I'm going to spend most of Saturday/Sunday at Kimmie's house watching crazy 80s movies and eating great yummy food. I can't wait! Right now I feel a cold coming on, and I'm trying my best to combat it. Unfortunately Airborne and Zicam don't work for me that well, I think it's because there is too much zinc. My body doesn't do well with massive amounts of any chemical, vitamin or substance I've noticed. Too much sugar = bad. Too much zinc= bad. Too much alcohol= bad. Secondhand smoke on an empty smoke= bad. The hardest drug I ever took was half a Vicodin after having wisdom teeth out, and I passed out for like 12-14 hours. So yeah I'm sensitive.
- I also wanted to share a few weird dreams I had yesterday. The first one was that I was in elementary school again, but Jeff Goldblum was my music teacher. I don't remember much except I was really young and he looked hot like he did back in the 80s and kept pinching my cheeks. I got that a lot as a kid. My cheeks pinched, not hot Jeff Goldblum experiences. Haha. The second dream was that I was working at Burger King again. (Which I would NEVER do even if I get a third job again, I'd rather go back to Longs, okay?) This one massively obese woman ordered 100 whoppers with cheese and no mayo. Then she proceeded to eat them, and die of a massive coronary. Very interesting. So yeah, dream analysts, comment away. Haha.
- The past few days have been cool, other than weird dreams here and there. I worked out both Wednesday and Thursday mornings, and I think I'm going walking today. If not I'll work out if I don't feel too crappy. I've been opting for getting more sleep when I can, and I definitely will this weekend as well. Don't worry I'm still up for the usual antics, Kimmie. I just may pass out sooner or something on Saturday night. We'll see. Well, I'm sure I'll have a giant blog to post early on Monday morning, and pictures to follow from this weekend. It'll be a blast. For now I'll just chill and listen to Fleetwood Mac, and talk online with Kimmie, Leeanne and Dusty. And no not Dusti Rhodes, Leeanne. This one is a dude. Just FYI. LMAO

no more sex talk
- Hey there Momma. Sorry I was jammin to Kanye West there for a minute, had to pause Golddigger. Kinda hard to get serious and concentrate when bumping rap music at loud volumes. I've missed you so much lately. Mostly since I've had some really fun adventures and I wish you were there to hear my stories. I don't know if you read my blogs from heaven or even watch on me from time to time. I have faith that God reads my blogs so that's good enough for me. He can pass along the messages.
- Speaking of faith, I just got done reading a little bit of James there in the Bible. Faith and works go hand in hand. I've been reading Starving Jesus and they talk about the same thing, pretty much. Don't just talk the talk, you gotta walk the walk. I'm still growing in Christ, and I have a LOOOOOOOONG way to go. Man it's HARD. Of course they said it's going to be hard, so DUH LISA. Anyway yeah, temptation is everywhere. I don't just mean the brownies that have been sitting on the kitchen counter for the past two days. Thank you Cathy. I'm talking about SEX SEX and more SEX. I used to be a bad girl, and now I'm not. But it's so hard to not look at stuff and say things. Hey at least I'm putting it out in the open, people. Get me away from the smut!!! Sometimes I get confused and forget that love doesn't equal sex, sex doesn't equal love. I get so boyfriend deprived that I want something I shouldn't have. Satan sure is sneaky.
- Anyway enough of the Christianity lessons for today. The past few days have been routine. Monday I was way too exhausted to exercise. I came home and slept, ate dinner, watched Scrubs, slept more, went to work. Blah blah. Yesterday morning I did work out at the gym, then went to Fernando's for breakfast and to play with his son. Oh and smell his stinky diaper as well. It was a wonderful experience. Today is grocery day, but I'll either go walking or hit the gym before that. I think I need more cat litter. (writing that down.. ) Okay.. later skaters.

lisa's awesome weekend
- Hey Momma. Boy did I have an exciting weekend. Let me sum it up for ya. I'll try my best to do some good recaps and I hope I don't miss much. I should have blogged earlier on but I was exhausted so I kinda half dozed for a little over an hour. Well I tried to, but I had two phone calls and *Linda* coming in convinced that we had a burglar downstairs and it was really Zack from programming. Okay anyway, here goes.
- Friday afternoon I worked a half shift here until 7pm. I really need the OT badly so I didn't mind. Then I went home for a bit and grabbed all my Corey Feldman DVDs/VHS tapes to take the Goonies screening. Fernando had texted while I was at work and invited me over for tacos, so I came over. We hung out, and played liars dice with Grace and Mary. Then Tony came over too, and we talked about our various relationship problems. I left Fernando's house a little after 9 and went to pick up Stuart, my date. Some of you know him as my "husband". We call him that because one of my parents' neighbors at my mom's viewing thought he was my husband. She mistook him for my ex boyfriend. LMAO Moving on, I picked up Stu and we went to Castro Valley Cinemar or whatever it's called. It took a while to get everyone in and seated, and eventually Corey showed. Boy is he awesome. He did a little Q and A, then we all went up row by row to meet him and get autographs. Due to time constraints the theater management said he could only sign one thing and no posing for pictures. So I gave Stuart my copy of the Goonies and I had him sign Stand By Me. This movie means a lot to me since it was one of my mom's favorites. When we got up there, I was nervous but surprisingly did not lose my ability to talk. We snuck a pic together and he even squeezed my hand. He seemed nice. Genuinely nice, not fake nice. It was so cool of him to come to Castro Valley and make an appearance like that. He said during the Q and A that he came because he supports small businesses and that the theater is fighting hard against cineplexes, stuff like that. If I find a video on Youtube maybe I'll post it in the Mandy's blog, I'm doing one a little more detailed later on. I'm sure someone taped it. Overall, it was a great experience meeting Corey for those glorious 30 seconds or so.
- Saturday was a great day as well. You know everyday on earth is a great day, if you think about it. Enough waxing philosophical. I worked that morning, like I do almost every Saturday. Then I went back home for an hour or so to freshen up and upload Corey pics onto Myspace. Big shocker, huh? Then a little before 4 I went to Davina's house. Jennifer and Kristin were already there. Then the "party van" as I call it went and picked up Ana, Valeria, and then Lorie. We drove to San Francisco, and boy California Street is steep. I hate stop signs/stoplights when you are stopped and when you take your foot off the brake to go you still roll backwards, even in an automatic. I had my foot on the imaginary brake the whole time, Kristin thought it was hilarious. So we went on this "vampire tour" on Nob Hill. I thought it was okay, but personally I don't think it was worth as much as Davina paid for it. It was educational, but most of our 2 hours were spent freezing our butts off in various locales while the goth lady with a candelabra told us about the history of various buildings and the relation to some local vampires. I give her props for memorizing that much of a script though. We did go inside the Fairmont Hotel for about 10 minutes or so. Most of that time was spent in the potty since some of us had to pee. I wish we had visited the inside of more of these places instead of just hearing about them. That's just my two cents though. It was fun and I'm glad Davina invited all of us to go. After that we had dinner at the Nob Hill Cafe, then we drove over to the Mission District for organic ice cream. I forgot the name of the place we went to, it was right by Mission High School. Yummy. Then we drove back to San Leandro, and called it a night since everyone was so pooped.
- Sunday I missed out on church but I had a great excuse. I went to the A's/Giants game at AT&T Park in San Fran with Sandi. We met at San Leandro BART and took the train to San Fran, then caught the Muni down there. The seats were awesome. The snooty couple on the other side of me were not so awesome. They were dressed like it was a business lunch, not a ballgame. The guy was remarking about how the American League sucks, blah blah blah. Eventually they left to go find "decent Asian cuisine" and never came back. Good for them. It's like dude this is a ballpark, not Rodeo Drive. Rich people make me wanna barf. I was being as obnoxious as possible and even farted a few times. Maybe they were overcome by the fumes. I hope that's what did the trick. The A's scored like 6 runs in the top of the 7th inning, and we decided to go walk around after the 7th inning stretch. We found the giant Coke bottle slide, and of course slid down it. Then we found the lovely cable car and took pics on that too. So touristy. After the game we walked up 3rd street and I showed Sandi where KDFC was. I took her on a tour of that station, as well as 95.7 The Wolf and KOIT. It was fun. Then we walked back towards The Embarcadero and caught a streetcar to Pier 39. I hadn't been there in ages. Our driver was pretty entertaining. Some guy broke the fair box so she just let everyone on board and kept yelling about how "That guy in the back broke the fair box, just get on!! Hurry up, blame him!" Anyway, we had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe. Not as expensive as it could have been, and they subbed out my fries for broccoli. I had a pulled pork sandwich. Yum. Oh yeah, I had a meatball sub at the ballgame. Not too good for me, but hey I ate an apple I had brought from home. So ooooh. Okay so after dinner, we did A LOT of walking around. I was good and didn't spend extra dough, only on a Nutella crepe for dessert. It was awesome. I took lots of video though, as you'll see at the end of this blog. It's a compilation of the whole weekend. I had a great time, but boy am I pooped out.

im gonna have a cool weekend
- Hey there Momma, the weekend is here. Lemme tell ya what went on the past day or so and then I'll elaborate on what I'll be doing in the next 3 days. Wednesday morning I hit the gym, then took Michelle and Dad grocery shopping. Nothing too thrilling on Wednesday sorry. Thursday evening was awesome, though. Sandi and I went to see Tyler from Audio A play an acoustic set at a really small church that I can't remember the name of in Merced. Sandi you need to refresh my memory. In case any of you don't know who Audio A is, look up Audio Adrenaline, 3 time Grammy award winners. He was/is the lead guitarist/second vocalist. I do remember that the opening act was some youth band of teenagers that sounded awful. Sorry kids. Singer was offkey, drummer offbeat, bass player looked bored. Then the youth pastor made me stand up in front of everyone since I traveled the farthest to be there. 2 hours.. oooh wow. That was a bit embarrassing. Anyway eventually Tyler came on and he was amazing. He looks amazing too, I might add. He's happily married with kids, but yeah he's easy on the eyes, boys and girls. Now I sound like Robert Culp, if he were gay. Okay only Kimmie got that one. Anyway, after his set was over Sandi and I went over and talked to him for a bit. He is so nice, and makes excellent eye contact. Of course I'll have my pic with him up on here in a while. On the way back we listened to more Audio A in the car while Sandi did interpretive dances and farted. Well she waited to rip em until she got in her driveway. Still fantastic.
- So I'm going to have a fun filled weekend. I just know it. Later today I'm working an extra half shift here since I need more dinero. Then, I'm going to a special screening of The Goonies, and Corey Feldman will be there to do autographs, etc. I have reserved seats and am bringing copies of Stand By Me, The Goonies, Gremlins, and License To Drive. I hope I don't pass out.
- Saturday should be fun too. I'm working my gig at KDFC, then staying in the city an extra 2 hours or so. Then I'm meeting Davina and the gang for a vampire tour on Nob Hill and dinner. It makes no sense to take BART back, and get back on BART another hour later, that's why I'm just chilling at work. I'll take a nap in the "chill-out" room that sales people go when they're ready to jump out the window.
- Sunday I'm going to an A"s/Giants game at Pacbell Park. I've never been to a game there. I'm bringing some of my own water and snacks since I'm a cheapass. Haha. I am so grateful that I'm able to have a working camera. This weekend I sure will need it.

oh lordy
- Heidi ho there Momma. Nothing too thrilling going on lately. I hit the gym yesterday morning. Michelle wants to go walking today, and if not I'll just go to the gym again. This will pretty much be my last chance this week because my schedule is so insane. Also today is grocery day. I am so blessed that I have a dad who will help me out with groceries. I'm telling you if I didn't I'd HAVE to work a third job, no doubt about that one. If things continue they way they are, I'll get one after May. I have a few things going on in May on the weekends, and most part-time gigs want folks to work on Saturday/Sunday. I may have to stoop as low as retail again, but alas someone has to pay the bills.
- Anyway, I did finally upload a video I made of random stuff from Easter weekend. Not to thrilling except for the Funkytown soundtrack I added. God I'm weird. I am so jammin to Billy Joel right now. Doesn't surprise anyone does it? "In the middle of the night.. I go walking in my sleep... " If you don't know the words to River Of Dreams then you suck.
- Okay here's the video.. talk to y'all in a few days.

happy day after easter!!
- Hey Momma. Happy Easter!! Okay Happy Day After Easter!! I hope you like the flowers and random stuffed bunnies we put on your gravesite. Headstone ain't there yet, and we're mad. Other than that Easter was fantastic. Actually the whole weekend was.
- Friday night I worked here for a half shift, since I needed the extra dough. Then I went home and had a yummy relaxing dinner. Brad and Victoria stopped by for a minute since I left my Zune at work and Brad knew where it was. Long story there. Anyway, Good Friday was indeed pretty good. Except that I didn't get much sleep. Oh well.
- Saturday I did my parttime gig as usual. Then I picked up Michelle and my dad since he wanted to get me something for Easter. We went to Newpark Mall and he paid for my haircut and 2 new pairs of shorts. Doesn't sound like much to some people, but I don't take stuff like that for granted. Oh yes, and I saw my friend Magical David and his baby David there as well. Then I finally got home and prepared a homecooked meal, downloaded tons of music, made a new christian rock CD and went to bed. Oh yeah wait.. Davina picked me up at like 9:30 and we did a Walmart run since she was afraid of getting robbed while shopping at night. It was fun. Then I went home and went to bed.
- Easter Sunday was off da heezy, as the homies would say. I picked up my cousin Kim and we went to church at Chabot College, that's where Faith Fellowship has their Easter services. I loved it. Good to see Pastor Gary preaching again. Then we picked up Michelle and my dad and went to my Uncle Jim's house, and had fun watching the kids. Very cute. I want one, just need a husband first. Then we loaded up the car and headed up to Sebastopol to leave flowers and stuff on Mom's grave, or where the headstone will be anyway. Cathy met us up there with Amy and Stuart. I took lots of pics. I don't know why I don't find it too morbid to take happy pics in a cemetery, but I don't. Then we dropped Dad off at home and went to Mimi's for dinner. Then picked up pie at Bakers' Square. Then I went home and uploaded pics and took a nap before work. And here I am.
- I am so blessed to have great family and friends to make this an awesome holiday. Jesus died on the cross for you and me, ya know. Don't forget that. It was definitely sad since Mom wasn't there, but my sisters and others did their best to spoil me rotten with candy. Okay gotta go do some surveys or something. Later!!

did a funny blog on the Mandys site
- Helloooo Momma. I always address these blogs to my mom even though I doubt if she reads them wherever she is up there. I know you guys read them, but oh well. Okay then. Last few days have been pretty darn cool, nothing too thrilling going on. I hit the gym yesterday morning, and I plan on going today and tomorrow. Yippee. Oh yes, I wrote quite a humorous blog over on the Mandy's N More Myspace site, which is mostly run by Kimmie. I help her manage the actual Mandys N More site when I can. If you haven't checked it out, we're in the process of building an online store and selling 80s merchandise, with a giant amount of revenue going towards various causes that help victims of sexual abuse. Also towards finding a cure for breast cancer.. let's see and we always try to dispel myths about folks with disabilities and such. I'm probably leaving stuff out. Kimmie feel free to comment with more. Here's the link to the blog if you are too lazy to look at my top friends and find the link to the page. Yeah I use some rough language and yes I need to clean it up, so sorry. I love the picture captions, though.
- This weekend should be pretty cool and laid back. I may grab another half shift on Friday afternoon here since I need more dough. Saturday I'm working in the morning, running errands in the afternoon and then relaxing the rest of the day. Sunday is Easter. I'll go to church, then go and visit my aunt, uncle and cousins for a while, then we're going up to visit Mom in Sebastopol and put flowers on everyone's graves. It'll be nice to see the family, for sure. Okay everyone have a great weekend.
- P.S. I was trying to upload that video yesterday morning and Myspace was being gay so I'll try that again later. If it works I'll post it ASAP.

my awesome weekend
- Whoo what a weekend I had mother. I've been up since like 7:30am yesterday, so I'm just a little pooped. I'm going to try my best to describe the last few days in as much detail as possible. I haven't had a chance to upload any pics since I barely had time to run by my house for 5 minutes before buying gas and heading off to work. I'll be doing a MAJOR blog on the Mandys N More page tomorrow (or maybe later on tonight, whatever) and I'll repost all the pics and stuff in a day or so over here. Oh and videos too, I think I'll try to edit everything into a 10 minute montage.. haha.
- Okay so first of all I worked here on Friday night from 3pm until about 8:30pm. I was supposed to get off at 7:00, but no one told the weekend overnight guy he was supposed to come in early. I called him and he showed up like an hour afterwards. That was all overtime, baby. Yay. After that I had a nice late dinner with Michelle at Applebee's.
- Saturday morning I ran the board for a live remote from the San Jose Tech Museum for KDFC. It was fun, I love participating in live radio. I love counting jocks down after every single song/stopset. Keeps me on my toes. They even gave me a shout-out during their last break.. John was like "Lisa, you're the bomb!" Okay after that I headed off to Lodi to hang with Kimmie for the duration of the weekend + Monday. We had SO much fun. Just that night we indulged ourselves with such bad cinema like NKOTB's "Step By Step" video, about 2 hours or so of cheesy 80s commercials I had on videotape, A Friendship In Vienna, and Home Team starring everyone's favorite Dancing With The Stars contestant, Steve Guttenberg. (Everyone knows I love Steve Guttenberg, my sister Michelle called while I was driving to tell me he was on TV.. LMAO) We had an awesome homemade dinner that night courtesy of Chef Kimmie. Tasty cheeseburgers with sauteed mushrooms and oven baked french fries. YUM! Oh yes and mudslide milkshakes made with chocolate chip ice cream. We were in binge heaven.
- Okay on Sunday we woke up around 9:30am or so, and Kimmie made some awesome french toast for breakfast. The fattening yumfest was continuing. So were the awful choices in cinema. Okay first we saw a bad Family Channel movie made in 1996 called Dad, The Angel and Me starring Judge Reinhold (of course) and Carol Kane. So cheesy, and his hair was awful. I have pics of that coming. Next, a great third season episode of Greatest American Hero entitled Wizards and Warlocks guest starring Bob Saget. Wait till you see those screencaps people. Then I showcased a cheesy first season episode of MacGyver called Ugly Duckling. I swear Richard Dean Anderson and this chick had the same mullet hairdo going on. Then we watched a two parter episode of Highway To Heaven about this blind chick falling in love with some guy with a huge birthmark on his face. Guest starred Ralphie from A Christmas Story and a gentleman Kimmie refers to as "40-year-old Chris".. I forgot to take pics, sorry Kimmie. After this a first season episode of St. Elsewhere guest starring Jeremy Licht (who also is my Blue Cross insurance agent.. lemme know if y'all need coverage, I can get you the hook up). It was so cute, so was Howie Mandel's rockin jew-fro. Next, yet another episode of Highway to Heaven, this one about this fat girl who really seems to love donuts that makes friends with the school jock when she tutors him in algebra. Yeah I think if I was going off the deep end into Krispy Kreme Land and Michael Landon showed up I'd be a bit distraught. Probably more so since he's dead and that would be a whole new set of issues. I can still see this girl's pain, none the less. After this, I threw on Staying Alive, the horrible sequel to Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta and Cynthia Rhodes. Directed by Frank Stallone with Frank himself and the Bee Gees doing the soundtrack. About this time Kimmie's sister Carol came over since she helps her with housechores and stuff. I think John Travolta gyrating around in tights was a good visual aid for us all. Then, about 5 minutes after Carol left, the toilet started flooding. I mean like water spurting in the air and going everywhere. I took pics and video of that one. Carol came back to help us as we waited for the plumber that management was sending. I was emptying the water out of Swifty's litterbox into the toilet and kinda farted practically in Carol's face. Great moment. Eventually we got things under control and watched about 5 episodes of The Golden Girls back to back. During about the second episode the guy from Rotor Rooter came and fixed the toilet. He was very nice, I think his name was Jeff? Can't remember. By then we were exhausted and hit the hay. Oh I totally forgot, for dinner Kimmie made an AWESOME veggie lasagna from scratch and we had breadsticks as well. So good. Oh and cheesecake for dessert.
- Monday, Kimmie actually got up before I did. I got up at 7:30am so all I can say is wow. We both put on rockin 80stastic outfits and I tried very hard to get my hair volumized. I used plenty of mousse, hairspray and gel. Also the hair dryer, a lot. Got kind of an effect. I think with that and the makeup I looked more like a "slut", but that's just me. While getting ready, we listened to my karaoke CDs (and my bad singing) and ate leftover cheesecake. Now that's what I call breakfast. Then we took several buses and ended up at Sherwood Mall there in Stockton. It's right next door to Weberstown Mall. Who the heck builds a mall next to another mall? Anyway, first thing we did was hit the food court. I had a chicken burrito for lunch. Yum. We perused lots of stores, and got our pictures taken with a cheesy lazer looking background. That will definitely be posted. I also saw the Easter Bunny and said hi, and took his pic from afar. Then we went to the mall next door, and did more browsing. I ended up buying a few funny things at Spencer Gifts, said hi to the other Easter Bunny and took his pic, and headed on back to pick up our pictures. Then we went and waited for the bus for about 3o minutes later when an interesting lady came up to ask us about the bus routes and asked if I was Kimmie's daughter. (ROTF) Okay so we were boarding the bus and I noticed the dude in front of me had a swastika tattooed on his arm. I was like "Oh crap". Mostly because the bus driver was black and there were many multicultured folks on the bus already. I'm not saying that because he was a skinhead or whatever that he automatically causes trouble, but still you never know. God was on my side and the ride went smoothly. We got back to Kimmie's place and ordered a veggie pizza from Woodbridge Pizza. They have one called the Slick Dick. I am not lying, I took pics of the menu. We got our order in about 20 minutes, and the delivery guy was HOT. In a college student kind of way. Oooh baby. Oh yes then we watched most of E.T. before I had to leave. All in all my weekend was awesome. Lots of adventure, plenty of weirdness.
- Oh yes let me see if I can remember any random quotes from the weekend. "Dude he fuckin goosed Dee Wallace!!"... "If Peter Coyote and Richard Chamberlain could mate, that would be their lovechild. Poor Jenny Lewis."... "If I were a lesbian I would so not do Betty White.... " I'm sure there are more.. Kimmie feel free to list.

this weekend is gonna kick some ass
- Howdy Momma. First of all I know some of you will think I'm insane. Well most of you that read my blog know that I'm a little loopy anyway. Okay when I was trying to sleep yesterday morning a sparrow or perhaps finch, some kind of small bird was on a tree branch that was pressed against my window. It began tapping incessantly for about 10 minutes straight and I really wanted to shoot it. Then I sat up in bed and looked at it, and it stopped tapping, and stared at me for a full minute, then kept on tapping. Call me crazy, since I am.. but I think this was my Mom's spirit. Some of you may think otherwise but why would a cute small bird choose to tap on my window repeatedly like that? So mother, thank you for keeping me awake an extra 2o minutes or so, and getting Spencer all riled up trying to find a way to attack you through the glass.
- Anyway the past few days have been pretty cool. Went to the gym on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. I won't be able to go today, since I'm coming back here to work 3-7pm. I need the extra hours. Did the grocery run on Wednesday morning, and on Thursday I took Michelle on some errands as well. Nothing out of the ordinary. Oh yes mother and thank you for announcing your presence in Walgreens yesterday by randomly playing that Will To Power song you loved so much. Not "Baby I Love Your Way" but "I'm Not In Love".. I just think you always liked that because of the seductive guy whispering at the beginning. I think I am losing my marbles.
- This weekend shall be spectacular. I'm working in San Fran on Saturday morning as usual, then off to Kimmie's for 2 1/2 days of pure insanity. I won't be back until Monday night. I'm stoked. We're gonna watch so many movies, take awful pics at the mall, eat lots of crap. It will be great. See, I have tons of close friends, all of you guys are my friends. Kimmie and I have only been friends a few years, but it feels like decades. Seriously. She is the only person that I know who is just as weird if not weirder than I am. Also one of the most generous folks I know. So I love you guys too, but Kimmie is just awesome. She has gone above and beyond what most people in her situation would do, and then some. Check out her page, read her blogs. Oh and the Mandy's page too. You won't be disappointed.

jamba juice is my friend
- Hey Momma.. and word up my homie G's reading this!! I'm hyper. Why? I'm drinking some really fruity drink from Jamba Juice which probably has my blood sugar way too high. I thought I'd try it instead of Starbucks, just to be different. I love juice. I know it has calories, and sugar (natural sugar that is). But it's good for you, at least when it's real juice. I still have love for iced decaf skinny lattes too, but I do love the juice. How many times can I say juice in one paragraph? Five apparently.
- I got my new camera! I haven't fully read the manual yet but so far it's pretty awesome. I took way too many pics of Spencer earlier and a few videos of him trying to attack and eat my new beloved toy. I'm going to have so much fun with this thing.
- Yay for me I hit the gym yesterday morning, just to let you know. I'm pretty sure I'm going walking this morning, or hitting the gym, one of the two. My body decided to gain another 5 lbs, and it can't decide when woman time is coming. It's like "Lisa, this is your body speaking.. its time.. oh just kidding.. " then a week later "it's your body again, prepare.. oh just kidding again". Meanwhile my weight fluctuates like a yo-yo and I feel like Delta Burke must have during the 80s/90s. Also I've got my favorite acne popping up and I think I may be bipolar soon. Just warning you guys.
- Okay well off to drink some tazo chai tea and mess around on Myspace and Youtube here at work. I'll post some new pics soon that I took with the camera, so you can all the see the nice quality. It's fantastic!

includes a magical disclaimer
- Magical disclaimer for readers: Last Friday morning I did two blogs, as several of you noticed. One was public, one was for preferred readers. There were only 2 preferred readers. I'm going through some stupid drama right now that I don't want to disclose with the entire universe. Therefore, I didn't include most of you on my preferred list. 99.9% of my blogs are public. I'm sorry to make any of you have frowny faces this weekend but this is one of things I needed to vent about but not broadcast. Sorry for your reading inconveniences. Now on to writing my usual blog to my dead mother. :-)
- Okay Momma, I'm back from my weekend. It was pretty darn fun. Friday morning I took Dad and Michelle to Costco, and we all got membership cards. I also got a lot of pineapple, and many bags of carrots. Oh and a chicken Caesar salad, very tasty. I spent Friday evening at home relaxing, and it was great. I watched Kicking And Screaming on TBS, Will Ferrell is insane.
- Let's see Saturday I did my usual work thing in San Francisco. Then I came home and actually relaxed for a bit and watched some TV. Then Cathy and Alisha picked me up. We hung out at Alisha's for a few then went to Jason's house to watch a Metallica concert on DVD and watch the boys design and race cars on his Xbox 360. It was pretty fun, just chilling out. Then I went home and fixed a rum + diet coke ( I haven't had any drinks for like a month.. yay) with a bigass hunk of pineapple in it. Boy that was yummy.
- Sunday morning I went to church. Yes I got there on time, I did set my clock forward before I went to bed Saturday night. Afterwards Davina and I went to Berkeley to see Leslie and The Lys. That girl is insane, it's awesome! What an experience. I bought one of her shirts and snagged a promo poster, and she signed both and took a crazy pic with me. Davina's pic looks even better than mine does, but that's because Davina is crazier then I am. We walked around Telegraph and got pizza beforehand for lunch, forgot to mention that. We did other shopping and split a crepe as a snack. Then we drove through downtown Oakland and paid a surprise visit to Davina's grandma. She seems nice, Shuki was cutting her hair. I felt so white in her house. Very cultural. Moving on, we got back to San Leandro and picked up Michelle and went to my house where we copied some of the pictures from Davina's camera to my computer. We went to dinner at Carrows ( I had coupons, and still do.. I belong to the E-Club!!) and browsed at Target. Oh I forgot to mention, Cathy did A LOT of cleaning at my house, she says it was out of boredom. I think she just wanted to pitch in since she practically lives there. She even cleaned the front window, swiffervac'd everything, did dishes, and baked a cake. It's like WOW. Domestication. She refused to scoop Spencer's stinky litterbox though, I gotta do that in the morning. All in all I had a great weekend.
- Tonight I'm working in San Fran then coming here, so my schedule's going to be interesting. I'm so blessed/thankful that Cathy did a lot of the housework so I don't have to do tons of it. I've been up since 8:30am yesterday with a one hour nap, so I'm kinda pooped. I need to clean my bathroom and I may mop the floors, depending on my level of exhaustion at 7:30am when I get home. Okay talk to ya later. Love ya.

i got new shoes, cheap ones
- Howdy Momma, the weekend is here. Thank God. Week wasn't too rough, but I love weekends just the same. Michelle and I have gone walking all week, and I even went on Sunday. So that's like 5 days in a row. Dad got me new walking shoes at Walmart the other day. My ankles have been hurting a lot, and I figured it was due to improper footwear. Well um my right ankle still hurts like a biatch, but there may be other factors. Right before that time of the month *cough cough* my feet and ankles tend to swell up. Also, I'm fat so that could be it too. But I've been fat for years so you'd think my ankles would be hurting for a while now. Oh well, maybe I'll take some Tylenol or Alieve next time I go. I think we're skipping the walk today since both of us have aching body parts and I promised I would take her and Dad to Costco later in the morning to get/renew a membership.
- This weekend should be nice and relaxing for once. No impending plans just yet, and that's fine. If someone wants to hang, cool. If not I'd love to actually catch up on movies at home and actually be able to veg out in front of my TV. Well the only plan I have set is seeing Leslie and The Lys at Amoeba in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon. She is freaking awesome!
Yeah she's just up my alley. Anyway.. ta-ta for now!

im pooped
- Hello there Momma. Oh dear I am so pooped. I haven't gotten enough sleep the last few days, I guess. I went walking Monday and yesterday morning, and I'm going again today. Yay. I'm still not losing any weight. Boo. It's about time to put on my wizard hat (Kimmie get it, message me if any of you are confused). That's probably why some of my body parts have doubled in size. Yes I do talk about them on Myspace. LOL
- Anyway yeah, Monday evening I did karaoke again with Davina and this time we drug Michelle along, since she wanted to go to the bookstore after. So much fun, I love singing 80s love ballads and pop songs. Earlier tonight I got to board op the symphony over at KDFC, filling in for Dane. It's pretty easy and I need the dough. I got less than 6 hours of sleep, since I was running errands with the family in the morning. Oh well I guess. Now today (Wednesday), I am going to get some freakin sleep. Nice restful sleep. I am not answering the phone. Probably won't be in bed until like noon, but when I do hop the train to sleepytown, I do not want to be interrupted by anyone. Unless the house is on fire and there's some hunky fireman rescuing me, I don't want to hear it.
- Oh yeah, finally got my refund. Thanks Uncle Sam and the Governator. I also bought my camera online. Used Bizrate.com and saved about $40 as compared to Best Buy. This is the one I picked, Cindy. Kinda an upgrade from what you suggested.
I think 7.1 megapixels is OK, I think my old one was like 5MP. I just wanted a small point and shoot. I don't remember each and every feature, but all the reviews I've read have been positive.
Ok I'm gonna go now, back to watching more stuff on Youtube to pass the time at work.Love ya mom!

my friends are awesome
- Hellooooo Momma. Back from my weekend. It was awesome! Friday morning I went to breakfast with Leeanne, then went walking with Michelle at the marina. I saw Shuki, Davina's mom doing tai-chi. Haha. Friday evening I met up with Sandi in Tracy and we ate at Wally's Drive-In, with the biggest freaking cheeseburgers I have ever seen. After that we went to see Definitely Maybe over in Dublin. Fun times.
- Saturday I worked my part-time gig, then went to Joey's 1st bday (Fernando's son). It was lots of fun. I reunited with Michael and Tony (who smelled great by the way.. hey baby.. you're 18 now I can flirt), and we played in the inflatable jumper thing. There was also tons of food and a pinata for the kids. I saw several people I hadn't seen in a long while. It was fun. After that excitement I ate dinner at home, and took Michelle to Southland so she could look at bras. We window shopped for a bit and some hot guy with a french accent did some nail demonstration on me trying to sell me some manicure stuff. He was hot and I got tingles down my spine while he massaged my cuticle, so I didn't mind. Later on that evening I hung out with Cathy, TJ, and his friend. I forget his name. James, Jason? Starts with a J. Okay when I barely got home from that guy's house, Davina picked myself and Valeria up, and we went to a karaoke place in Hayward. So much fun! They even made a CD of us singing, Valeria's making us copies. I can't wait for people to hear it.
- Sunday was pretty normal. Got up, went to church, came home, did some housework, went walking to the duck pond, went home, watched some TV while eating a spinach bacon salad, then took a LONG nap. Then I got up and made dinner, and came here.
- I am so blessed to have great friends to make my days special. Seriously. All of you guys rock. Even those who I only see on Myspace, or those who I only see once in a blue moon. Just wanted to let you guys know that. Okay gotta go do some surveys here on Myspace. Later!

jesus and all night dance parties
- Howdy doody Momma. What's shakin? Do they have all night dance parties up there? They should. I bet Jesus can really get down with his bad self. Anyway, nothing too thrilling going on down here. I went walking yesterday, and I'm going walking today. I'm glad Michelle likes to walk, both of us need all the exercise we can get. I made an AWESOME dinner last night. Sauteed some onions and chopped up potatoes, grilled a piece of bratwurst and chopped it up (we got it free a few weeks ago from Lucky.. lol), scrambled some southwestern eggbeaters in there, added some avocado and salsa.. it was GOOD. Wrapped it up in some tortillas and made some tapas.. out of sight! I haven't had a meal that grubbin in ages. Michelle said it looked like something I threw up but she's weird anyway. As you are very well aware.
- This weekend should be cool. Tonight I'm hanging out with Sandi and going to some place with awesome burgers, then we'll maybe hit a movie after. Haven't seen her in ages. Saturday I have work in the morning and Joey's 1st bday party is in the afternoon. I think Cathy's going. I can't believe that kid's almost a year old. WOW. That reminds me Fernando and I have been playing phone tag forever. Okay Michael I know you read my blogs, first of all I need to call you and second of all why does your profile say married? Did you and Irma elope? Maybe I should just call you instead of broadcasting it through my blog. Hahaha. Hope I catch you on Saturday. Okay Mom gotta go, I'm like hella farting up a storm in here. I feel bad for Brad in the morning.

hyperactive lisa
- Hello Momma. It's the middle of my lovely work week here. The past few days have been okay. Monday was a little crazy. Took Dad to the eye doctor, Starbucks, Longs, paid off my dentist, went home and took an hour long power nap, then went for an interview in the city. (City = San Francisco) I think I did well, but the PD is factoring in that I already work a lot and if I get this job I'd literally be working 7 days a week. My gut says I didn't get it, but I won't know for sure until later on today. No biggie. I think God's telling me to manage my budget a little better, and I'm trying. Not my fault I'm popular. Everyone wants to go out every single weekend. I get booked. I also feel guilty right now since I made plans to go to Kimmie's niece's birthday party in May and forgot about it when I bought front row tix to Spring Celebration at Great America on 5/10. Family Force 5, front row!!!! WOOT! Okay I'm a bit juiced. I know that night I'll go out to Lodi and hang out with Kimmie and Joyce the next day, make it up to them. I still feel awful though. I always buy daily planners but never use them. Now I have an excuse. LOL
- Yesterday I went walking with Michelle and got my taxes done. I am getting money back!! Enough to get my new camera with a sturdy case and put the rest in my savings where it shall remain until the end of time. (Or I'd like to promise myself that anyway.) Today is grocery day, and like Dad said in the car yesterday, "I'm so happy I could just s*#t." Yes Dad lovely sentiments. I also am going walking this morning, and hooray for that. I'm hoping to get more rest the remaining days of this week, since I'm tired. As usual. Okay Momma gotta go, Kimmie is IMing me about her weird relatives and discussing her even weirder dream about Joanna Kerns attacking Alan Thicke on the set of Growing Pains. Like my dream about her being in her kid body pushing me across her carpet while Judge Reinhold was trying to fix the floorboards wasn't odd enough. "Kim! Kiiim!"

i think i'm insane
- Hey there momma. How was your weekend up there? Do you even have weekends, keep track of time? Probably not, no need really. I am so exhausted. I think it's more stress and emotional exhaustion than anything else. My schedule is so insane lately, especially doing stuff for Michelle and Dad this week. I also have an interview for a possible third job this afternoon, I don't wanna get into details since I don't want to jinx myself. I know what you'd say, "Don't go in over your head, slow down." I would love to mother, but since I gotta pay for medical now and I've had unexpected expenses the past 4 months (since I got let go from KKIQ) draining my checking account, it has gotten to the point where something has to be done. Don't worry, it's in radio and I love radio. We'll just have to see.
- This weekend was okay for the most part. Friday night I went out with Noelle to Claimjumper for dinner, then to Walmart, my house for a bit, and then her house where I fell asleep during some episode of Family Matters.
- Saturday I worked in San Fran, then met Noelle at BART, where we walked over to the Moscone Center to Wondercon. That's a sci-fi/comic book geek fest they have every year. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson were there to talk about the new X-Files movie coming out in July. Now you remember how big of a crush I had on David back in the day. Well just breathing the same air as him was exhilarating. Noelle took some pics for me since my camera is on the fritz again. I also took pics with Batman, Superman, and Oompa Loompa, Darth Vader and a few troopers. It was so fun. We went back to San Leandro and picked up Michelle and went to La Pinata for dinner. Man I love their chicken famoso burritos. I make 2 meals out of em. Afterward Michelle needed more underwear so we went to Mervyns. Noelle bought more bras. I was making a joke about her wearing a teddy to the Saddlerack sometime and I think she took it literally. Oh well, still fun.
- On Sunday I went to church in the morning, then came home and did tons of housework. Even mopped. Afterward I went for a walk over by the duck pond, then came home and took a LONG nap. I mean like 6 hours. I felt guilty for sleeping that long, but I know I work and do a lot of stuff and don't have much down time. Although I'm here at work being paid and I'm blogging, so I dunno. Okay well I'm going to go drink some diet wild cherry pepsi and get hyper, maybe do some surveys. Love ya!!
