I feel much better now

  • Yay I'm back and yay it's almost the weekend. The last few days have been a little interesting. Wednesday morning a few hours after I wrote my last blog, my stomach randomly decided to start hurting and I puked several times here at work. I think it was the pot roast at Marie Callender that did me in. My boss let me leave at 5:30, and if I wasn't feeling so crappy I would have taken the opportunity to hit the gym. I was still nauseated but I had to take my sister and Dad shopping since I was booked the rest of the week. So I took a nap in my car in front of their house for about an hour. Then I puked out my door onto the street, and then proceeded to take them to Walmart/Lucky/Waste Management?Starbucks. After about 5 Rolaids and a vanilla bean frappucino (nice and creamy), my stomach felt better. We had to stop at Waste Management (ACI.. Alameda County Industry??.. something like that) since my family needed to order a dumpster. Don't ask, very long story. While I was there, I called my work (Family Radio) to let them know I was still feeling crappy and to see if I could get someone to cover my shift that night. Miraculously, Brad texted me that afternoon to tell me I was covered. I technically wasn't feeling as sick as I was that morning, but I appreciated the sick day (or night, rather) so I could get some rest. I spent Wednesday evening doing laundry and relaxing in front of the TV. I think I fell asleep around 1am.
  • I woke up today around 9amish, had some breakfast, did most of my packing for this weekend, and folded my laundry. Then I took another nap until about noon. The way my schedule is, I sleep as much as possible when given the chance. Then I took a shower and hit the gym. I felt so proud of myself. It was hotter than a mutha so I decided to treat myself to a sugarfree iced vanilla latte from Maui Wowie, which was right across the parking lot. Then I worked at Traffic from 3-7pm. Then I was taking Michelle to Starbucks when Brad called and asked if I could come in here early at like 9pm. I can't resist overtime so of course I said yes. So I had barely enough time to get my stuff together and make dinner, then come on over to work.
  • I'm so excited about my L.A. trip this weekend. Last year around this time Sandi and I had plans for a trip to SoCal but I was in the emergency room with killer cramps and low blood pressure so I had to cancel. I'm so glad I got over my tummy issues before this trip. I've never been to San Diego before so this will be awesome. I'm working a lot today so I hope Sandi likes driving, because I'll be trying to snooze the whole way down. Haha. Oh I also bought another memory card since my other two were full. I am ready to go, yo. Only 7 1/2 more hrs to go, and I'm outta here!! WOOT WOOT!!

back to the old grind

  • Howdy folks. Me again. It's the middle of the week. Only a few days till my 3 day mini-vacation in Southern California. I think I need it. I need as much fun time off as possible. Who doesn't? Haha. The last few days have been pretty normal, nothing too weird. Let's see on Monday I took Dad to the opthamologist. Well Michelle took him inside I just slept in my car the whole time. Then I drove them home and went to bed. I woke up 4 hours later, got ready and worked at Traffic. Then I came home, did housework, made dinner, relaxed and watched TV. Then I came to work here.
  • Tuesday I woke up at 1:30pm, got ready, ate some Cheerios and went to work at Traffic. Then Michelle called me because my Dad kept whining about wanting to get out of the house, so I took them to dinner at Marie Callender. Well Dad paid, but I drove them there. Then we stopped by my house for a bit so I wouldn't have to double back from their house before work. We watched Animal Police on Animal Planet, then I dropped them off before coming to work here. So I sleep, work, rest and work some more. Sense a pattern?
  • Today is grocery day. I'll hit the gym with Michelle after work first, then do the whole Walmart/Lucky/Starbucks thing, go put away groceries, start some laundry, and get in bed by like 1pm. I think I'll take a half snooze here at work again in a bit, it's one of my 24 days. Well, only 2 days till good ol L.A./Anaheim/San Diego! Yay!

i hate pretzel nazis

  • Hey there folks. Me again. I just got sour cream on my new CSI shirt, haha. Thought I'd share that with ya. My weekend was pretty chill, for the most part anyway. Friday I worked at Traffic, then came home and relaxed with Cathy and TJ. I watched TV for a few hours, then went to sleep.
  • I woke up and worked in San Fran on Saturday morning as usual. Then when I got back to San Leandro, I picked up Michelle and we went to Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. It was really overcrowded since all the little size zero teenage girls were back to school shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch, etc. I was hot and tired, and I decided I wanted a pretzel from Auntie Anne's. I waited in line for 10 minutes, and then discovered I didn't have enough cash for my order and pulled out my ATM card. The lady at the counter was like "Cash only!" in a snooty tone. There was no sign anywhere that said "Cash Only". I took about 20 seconds to run to Michelle for a dollar and run back, then the lady said "Sorry, back of line." There were like 20 people there. I was MAD. As many of you know I always keep my cool in public, I rarely have an outburst. Well I finally had one. I told the lady to kiss my fat white ass and stormed off, loudly talking to Michelle about the 13 year olds dressing like sluts and yuppies all over the place. Was this a Christian thing to do? Um no. It's funny now that I look back on it, but dude that pretzel nazi got me mad. Later at home I cooled off a bit, then Fernando called so I met him and Joey at the Duck Pond. We got pizza at Pizza Hut and went back to his house. I got to give Joey a bath, it was fun. Later on in the evening I went home and watched more TV, and went to bed.
  • Sunday morning I was supposed to go to church. I overslept. I felt bad but I guess my body was extra tired. Then I went and had lunch at Horatio's with Mike P, my old pal from KCRH and Family Radio who was in town. That place is nice, and lunch is nowhere as expensive as dinner is. It was fun catching up on each others' lives and stuff. After lunch I got my car detailed/waxed at Hutch's, then went home and took a nap for a few hours. In the evening Michelle and I went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Pleasanton, stopped by Starbucks near my house, then home so I could nap and she could watch TV. Then I dropped her off at home, stopped by Davina's house to pick up some copies of pictures, and now I'm at work. Yay.
  • I don't know how much rest I'll be getting today. Dad has an optometrist appointment at 8am, and I'm going to snooze in the car. Then after I drop them off I get to go home and sleep about 4 1/2 hrs, then get up for work. How fun. Oh by the way Davina gave me a CD with some pictures from Vegas, I'll be uploading them in a few. Once I get the comp back I'll have a TON of pics to put up.

Vegas Blog part 2

  • What's up, homies? It's me, I'm back again. Here at work in San Fran playing lovely classical stuff. Okay now where were we? Oh it was on Monday and we went to see Tournament Of The Kings at Excalibur. It came with dinner that we ate with our hands, just like at Medeival Times in Southern California. The best part about the show were the sexy young jousters. We sat in the Ireland section, and Mr. Ireland there was pretty HOT. I should have taken a picture. Haha. We seriously saved a lot of money by going to Tix 4 Tonight. There's 3 or 4 locations there in Vegas, and it's well worth waiting in line. Anyway after watching the sexy jousting, we took the Monorail over to the Sahara and walked to the Stratosphere. We had a little over an hour before our show so we went up on the Stratosphere tower. Boy what a view, man. We got our picture taken, and it looks hilarious. Once I get the computer back and scan it in, you'll laugh your socks off. After our lovely tour we went to see Bite!. Now what was amusing was we didn't realize it was a topless show. ROTF. So yeah, we had our share of both women's and men's depravity.. hahaha. It was very entertaining though, I wouldn't reccomend it for prude people. Lots of singing, provocative acrobatics, dancing. Least there was a cool rock soundtrack to it. Note: Davina picked it since she thought it would be some random show about vampires, she loves them. She had no idea it was a semi-naked show. I'm still laughing. Haha. By the time that show was over, we were exhausted. I had been up since Sunday morning, and Davina didn't sleep much on Sunday night since she was so excited. The second we got in the hotel room, we both crashed and were asleep in minutes.
  • Okay now for Day 2. Can you believe all that happened in Day 1? Crazy. So we woke up, got ready, and headed on out for another long day of adventuring. First thing we did was hit up Tix 4 Tonight again, so we could get good prices on shows. Our picks for the day were The Fab Four (awesome Beatles cover band) at Planet Hollywood and The Chippendales at The Rio. After scooping up our tix, we checked out the M&Ms store nearby, where I snagged some candy (I'm bad) and a few souveneirs. Then we took the Monorail to the Paris Hotel, and checked that out before heading to Planet Hollywood. Another note: If you've never been to Vegas you may not realize it takes at least 30 minutes to successfully get through a hotel from one end to the other. Not only because each hotel is the size of a giant shopping mall, but also because there are a lot of slow moving old folks near the slot machines. Always plan ahead if you have a show to get to. LOL. So we took plenty of pics in the Paris Hotel because the inside of it looks like the cobblestone streets of Paris. We also went up on the Eiffel Tower on top of the hotel and took pictures. Great view. Then we finally made our way to Planet Hollywood. We had gotten discount coupons for this great restaurant called Pampas Churrascaria. It's kinda like an upscale buffet. They bring all kinds of meat to your table for you to try, and they have an all you can eat salad bar. The food selection there is really unique, I've never eating much South American cuisine but it was all tasty. Lots of fruit. After our satisfying lunch, we walked around the whole Miracle Mile mall and then went to the box office to get our Fab Four tix. We paid $15 more and upgraded to VIP and get tickets a lot closer to the stage. The show was great and worth the money. We would have stayed and taken pics with them but we had to get a taxi to The Rio so we could get our Chippendales tix in time. Taxis do cost a lot and I don't reccomend them in Vegas unless you really need to be somewhere in a hurry. So we arrived at the Rio and got our tix, and had a pretzel at Auntie Anne's to tide us over until after the show. By the way the whole time we were in this hotel I kept singing that Duran Duran song... "Her name is Rio and she dances 'cross the sand.. ". So yeah the Chippendales were HOT! Their show made my life complete. I can die a happy woman. I liked it when they only had a towel on their you know whats and were humping the stage. WHEW. Calm down, Lisa. After the show we took pics with them. Man that was exciting. WHOO BABY. Believe me once you see them, you'll understand. After that life changing event, we took a shuttle back to Caesar's Palace to check that out. Afterward we checked out The Mirage and The Flamingo. The Mirage has a great show with fountains synchcronizing sprays of water with music. We were stuck watching the Titanic song which I hate with a passion but it was awesome anyway. There is also a beautiful atrium garden thing inside the hotel. My mom would have loved it. All kinds of rare plants and stuff. The Flamingo was cool since they have a real flamingo sanctuary. It smelled kinda funky, so we took pics and left right away. We also walked through Bally to see if they had anything fun. It was just your run of the mill hotel and casino. We took the Monorail from there back to the MGM, stopped at McDonalds for some late dining, and went to bed. As you can imagine we were tired after all that walking and excitement.
  • Okay Day 3, last day of the trip. We packed up all our stuff and checked it in for the hotel to hold onto it until we were ready to catch our shuttle back to the airport that evening. We had breakfast at the Rainforest Cafe there at the MGM. I had a yummy breakfast pizza. That place is awesome. There's one in San Francisco near Fisherman's Wharf but I've never been there. Next time I go there I'll check it out. Then we caught The Deuce (double decker city bus that goes downtown) to Fremont Street. Our bus driver looked just like Eazy-E, and I took a pic with him when we were getting off. He thought we were hilarious. Fremont Street is cool, but is probably more magical at night during the light display. We went in the early afternoon and took pics of the old hotels like Glitter Gulch. I also had Dunkin Donuts for the first time. An iced coffee and a blueberry muffin. I just heard there's a Dunkin in Pinole or some obscure place here in the Bay Area. I was not aware of that. Oh well. It was pretty good, we need to get one nearby. There are too many Starbucks everywhere. Oh yeah, we made this video where they put our heads on some dancing cartoon bodies and we lip synch to music. Davina's going to make a copy for me. It's great. So we headed on back to the Strip, and checked out The Venetian. We were going to go on a gondola ride, but they were only doing the outdoor ones and it was WAY too hot. We walked around the shopping area which catered to the very rich tourists. Stores like Tiffany & Co, Giorgio Armani, stuff like that. Then we checked out the wax museum, it's awesome. It's interactive so you can actually hug the statues, lay on the bed with Hugh Heffner, get interviewed by Oprah, stuff like that. Davina and I took some great pics. After the wax museum we headed on back to the hotel and got our bags, and waited for our shuttle. Then waited longer, and longer. We had a voucher for a particular bus but after waiting 30 minutes we paid another $6 to ride another shuttle to the airport. So like I mentioned in part 1, a voucher isn't worth it, shuttles are never on time. We made it to the airport over an hour before our scheduled flight so we were okay. I had a whopper jr with cheese meal with apple slices and water for dinner there before we got on the plane. The flight only took like an hour. Before we knew it, we were back in Oakland again.
  • A few observations during the trip that I didn't discuss. There are perverts everywhere, man. First of all, what's up with the ancient old fogies and the 18 year old girls? Either the men are rich or the girls are prostitutes, or maybe both. So sad. Also, we were eating lunch at this food court thing next to the M&Ms store on Day 1, and this old guy sits next to Davina reading his paper. Then she leaves to get an iced tea and he sits there humming to himself and playing pocket pool (you know, grabbing his crotch). I got the heck outta there, man. What a freak. Oh and all along the strip these Mexican dudes hand out hundreds of cards to guys for call girls. There are prostitute ads everywhere. Las Vegas sure is the sex capital of the U.S., man. I mean Davina and I saw some freaky shows and male strippers, but we just look, we don't touch. Freakazoids, geez.

Vegas part 1

  • I'm baaaaack!! Yup I am back in good old Oakland, California, literally trying to stay awake. My boss will be here in the next 15 min or so and I really need a nap. I have the strong feeling I won't finish the blog this morning, and may have to do it tomorrow when I'm at KDFC and fully conscious. I could have blogged earlier but I was on the phone with Davina for like 2 1/2 hrs and squeezed in some bible study.
  • Okay so Monday morning after work I sped on over to my parents' house so Davina's dad could pick me up and take both of us to the airport. I checked my bag and we got through security in plenty of time, and I had a muffin and an iced coffee at Starbucks for breakfast. We finally boarded our plane and we were on our way. On a side note I do love Southwest, I can see why you love it so much, Sandi. The fares are much cheaper and they don't charge you to check your bags like other airlines are now doing. Our flight took a little over an hour, that was it. After we landed and I got my luggage off the baggage claim, we were able to check in at the MGM Grand from there at the airport and get a shuttle to the hotel. Another side note, it saves time and money to not buy a round trip voucher for the trip back to the airport. I'll explain that later on in the blog.. probably in part 2. It'll make more sense then. So we got to the hotel and WOW it was huge. Must have been a few blocks long, it seemed like. We arrived at our room in the West Wing and it was snazzy. There was a freakin phone on the wall next to the toilet in the bathroom. A flat screen TV built into the mirror in the bathroom. I took a shower since I'd been up for like 24 hours by then and I was feeling kinda funky. After that we hit the strip, and found a place called Tix 4 Tonight that sold really good tickets for shows are reduced prices. We got our tix for Tournament Of Kings at Excalibur and Bite! at the Stratosphere. Then we did a lot more walking and explored The Luxor, The Mirage, and hung out at Excalibur before the show. Davina and I played air hockey, and she schooled me. It was pathetic. Okay I'll finish this blog tomorrow.. I'm almost ready to go home and hit the hay.

To be continued..

Yaaay

  • What's up brothas and sistas? I'm EXCITED! I'm leaving for Vegas in a matter of hours. I'm sitting here wolfing down my chef salad, drinking my cherry coke zero and trying to figure out when I'll be sleeping. I should take a nap soon. In fact I may just finish half this blog and then snooze, and come back to it. My boss isn't coming in today, he's covering for me the next 3 nights. That means I can half doze most of my shift. Yay!
  • Okay so Friday afternoon I worked at Traffic, and then that evening I went on some last minute errands with Michelle. We went to Bath and Body Works (didn't need anything from there but we had a coupon), and besides my two body washes I also got a travel size body spray for my trip. Then we hit up Payless Shoe Source and I got a cute pair of dressy sandals/shoes for the club for like $20. Last on our trip was Target so I could get sunscreen, more socks and disposable wipes. Later I went home and did lots of packing, then Cathy gave me a pedicure.
  • Saturday I did my usual thing at KDFC in the city, then went out to Lodi to kick it with Kimmie for 80s greatness. Let's see where do I begin? First thing we watched was the first episode of the third season of Wonder Woman guest starring Leif Garrett called "My Teenage Idol Is Missing". He was hot for a teen. Whoo. As we were watching that, Cathy and TJ showed up and hung out with us for a few hours. I think we tortured them with "When The Bough Breaks", a bad TV movie starring Ted Danson and that dude that played Veda's uncle in My Girl. It was pretty cheesy, but hey it was 1986. After that was the New Kids with their Step By Step video. Cathy and TJ left right after the beginning of Boltneck starring Matthew Lawrence, Judge Reinhold and Shelly Duvall. Too bad, they missed out on my movie boyfriend sucking face with Shelly Duvall. LMAO When Boltneck was over Kimmie put me through two episodes of the Golden Girls, and another episode of Wonder Woman entitled Amazon Hot Wax which I throughly enjoyed. Who can't enjoy Judge Reinhold's first TV role ever as Jeff, one half of a scary singing duo with horrible matching 70stastic outfits? If my computer were back and I had time I'd show you a pic, it was wonderful. He always plays such retards/dorks with flair and confidence. Oh I forgot, we had McDonalds for dinner (mcnuggets kids meal with apple slices) and chocolate creme pie for dessert which Cathy made.
  • Sunday we got up around 9am or so. I took a shower, and we ate leftover pie and coffee for breakfast. Bad, I know. I tortured Kimmie with Four Eyes and Six Guns, another Judge flick, he was dorky and cute in that one. I love how the swanky guitar riff lets the viewer know that trouble is lurking nearby. It's in every TV show/movie I've seen, practically. Anyway.. after that we were picked up by Dial A Ride which we refer to as Dial A Crap, and had lunch at Lyons with Kimmie's mom. What an experience. Her mom means well, I guess. She's just weird, but lots of older folks are. She gave me a sleepytime Ernie doll thing, so that was unexpected and nice. So we finally get back to Kimmie's house and watch one of our favorites, Legend Of Billie Jean. Really great movie, and Yeardley Smith looks so freaking young, it's crazy. I then tortured Kimmie with one last film, Baby On Board starring Judge and Carol Kane. He had long hair and a creepy moustache so he kind of looked like a child predator. Poor guy. By that time I had to leave since I had to pack and do last minute things at home before work. Traffic in Tracy wasn't as bad, there was a slight delay but nothing longer than 10 minutes.
  • Oh yes, I did take a slight snooze while writing this. For a few hours. Well I half dozed anyway. I'm so excited about my trip and it's hard to sleep while I'm so energized. I'll take a ton of pictures, I promise. YAAAAAAY!!

im tired but excited!

  • What's up folks? I'm tired. You'll figure out why in a minute. Okay so Wednesday morning I did go to the gym (yay for me!) and did the usual Walmart-Lucky-Petsmart-Starbucks run. We don't hit up Petsmart that often but my dad's dog Happy is on a special diet because of allergies so he has to eat special food, and they were running low. Anyway, I managed to get about 7 hours of sleep on Wednesday, and that was awesome. I woke up around 7pm because Cathy/TJ were making dinner and it smelled great, plus TJ finally brought home the newest additions to our family. Their names are Buster

and Prada

  • They seem like really nice dogs. After I was already up I took a shower and ate dinner, and watched a lot of TV, then came to work. Now my schedule today was a bit nuts. I worked earlier at Traffic from 3-7pm, and I'm working here from 7:30pm-7am. That's why I'm a bit bushed.
  • I'm not too bad though, since I'm extra excited about my weekend at Kimmie's house and my Vegas trip next week. I will be blogging early on Monday morning since I have that overnight shift hours before I leave. Fun, yes I know. Oh on a fantastic note, I'll have my camera back by the trip. I should have had it back today, but FedEx tried to deliver it approximately 10 minutes after I left for work and no one was home. They require a signature, boo. I may be able to pick it up at the FedEx headquarters here in Oakland tomorrow evening. If I would have checked on it online I coulda picked it up in between jobs a few hours ago, it's right down the street. You suck, FedEx!! Anyway yeah, I'll have my camera back for the trip.. and I didn't have time to call Gateway and bother them during business hours today since I was busy at my other job. I've gotta call and bitch again tomorrow.
  • Okay toodles for now. I'll blog about my 80stastic weekend on Monday. I'm going to eat this chicken parmigiana Healthy Choice meal and keep myself busy, maybe take a nappy poo.

5 days till Vegas!

  • Heidi ho neighbors. It's the middle of the week, yo. Not too much going on. Monday I slept, worked, went to Claimjumper with Michelle, and worked again. Tuesday I slept, worked, went walking with Cathy, did housework, made dinner and watched a little TV, then came here. I know it's extremely thrilling.
  • One thing I am overjoyed about is that I'm borrowing Amy's camera for Vegas. So I will have awesome pics and video. I promise I won't break it. If I break it, I buy it. This has been one less thing to worry about. My camera is still in Illinois being repaired and it'll probably get mailed back to my house while I'm in Vegas. Great timing. Still waiting on the fr#$%in software. It's been shipped, but how long does it take to mail two CDs? I'll try to get another update from Gateway soon.
  • Today I'm hitting the gym after work (finally) then it's grocery time. We need a lot of stuff, it seems. Oh well. Okay well I need to make a grocery list and take a semi-snooze in a bit. It's one of my 24 hour days, literally.. so any nap I can take is a good one.

i need to get in shape

  • Hey there homie G's. I'm back from my weekend. It was pretty fun. Friday afternoon I worked at Traffic then took Michelle and Dad to Applebee's in Alameda for dinner. Then I had time to come home and chill for about an hour before coming to work here. It was TJ's bday so there were lots of people, pizza and booze at my place. I was so bummed that I had to work on a night where a great party was taking place. Oh well, guess it kept me out of trouble in the long run, and I made 8 hours of overtime in the process. Right after I got off that job, I took BART to San Fran to work at KDFC until 1pm. Then I promptly I went home and CRASHED. I was so exhausted. I was up for 25 hours, and working 19 of them. I totally fell asleep on BART but woke up a stop before mine, at the Coliseum. So later that evening I woke up around 9pm and made myself some supper and watched TV until about 1am, then went back to bed. That was my Saturday.
  • Sunday morning I woke up at 8:30am, got ready, then Cathy and I picked up Michelle and Dad and headed on up to Sebastopol to visit Mom's grave and go to the Gravenstein Apple Fair. We made a few stops along the way, to get gas and Starbucks of course. Visiting mom and my other dead relatives was bittersweet, but it was still good to be physically close to where she is, if that makes any sense. I mean spiritually she's not there, but you know what I mean. The apple fair was okay. We honestly only stayed about an hour, if that. It was mostly dirt and leaves everywhere, and very rugged terrain to push Dad's chair around in. The arts and crafts people sold were overpriced, but the food prices weren't bad at all compared to other fairs, rock concerts, etc. Corn dogs were only $4, could have been worse. That's what Cathy and I had for lunch. So nutritional, I know. Then we headed on home, not before stopping at Starbucks again. Hahaha. Yeah my family has a caffeine problem, can you tell? Later on at home, I forced Cathy to watch some cheesy movies with me. Boltneck (starring Matthew Lawrence featuring my man Judge Reinhold with Shelly Duvall.. haha), and then Little Giants with the commentary from Icebox and the director. Cathy gave me a makeover during Little Giants and took pics of me with Amy's camera which we borrowed since mine is being fixed. I hated most of my pics because of my numerous chins. I hate my chins. I think I need to exercise more. I work so much and when I'm not working I'm trying to get enough sleep. I actually did some Taebo type exercising a while ago before I started blogging just to get my heart rate up, hope it helped. So after I kept on complaining about my chins, Cathy decided to go on a walk with me to the duck pond and I felt better. We decided to do more exercise together when I can (plus I go to the gym like twice a week.. well I try to), and I need to buy an Allen wrench so I can adjust the seat on my new bike and finally ride it. So I'm going to try to be healthier and exercise, but it's way too hard when I work 60 hour weeks and go random places on weekends where people say "It's okay Lisa, live a little." Very frustrating. I was also promised fewer treats sitting around the kitchen, but I'll see about that. Okay that was my weekend story/rant, now to do more surveys or something, maybe take a nap. Oh yeah, one week till VEGAS!!!!

And I keep on chuggin along

  • What's up homie G's? Not much here. Let's see on Wednesday morning I drug myself to the gym even though I was exhausted. Then we hit Walmart for half the grocery shopping, the UPS Store so I could ship my stupid broken camera back to Illinois, and Lucky for the other groceries. Then Starbucks of course. I got about 6 hours of sleep, then Cathy woke me up since I promised I'd take her to dinner. We went to Chevy's (they serve Mexican food in case you didn't know), and it was very tasty. Later on in the evening I watched a lot of Scrubs and some other stuff on TV, then came to work. Thursday I should have gone to the gym. I was very exhausted after getting 6 hours or less of sleep for 3 days in a row. So I opted for crashing at home after putting clothes in the dryer and cleaning the litterbox. Fun. When I woke up around 5pm TJ invited me to join him and Cathy for dinner at The Englander in San Leandro. There was live music there (old dudes playing blues) and Alisha showed up too. We had a lot of fun. Then I came home, showered, and watched lots of TV before coming to work here. I'm glad I had time to rest and veg out for once.
  • Now normally I'd be giddy since this is usually my "Friday". I not only have to work this afternoon at Traffic which I don't mind, but I'm working an extra shift here tonight for Yuriy the weekend guy. I need the money, and he's covering for me at the end of this month when I'm going to L.A. Fair is fair. So I have to get up at 1:30pm this afternoon and work in Emeryville, go home and eat/chill for 3 hours, work here until 7am, then drive to San Leandro BART and go to San Fran and work there until 1pm. Then that afternoon I will go home and SLEEP. A LOT. That's my whole Saturday night in a nutshell. Sunday we're all going to the Apple Fair in Sebastopol and it'll be awesome. I haven't gone in like 20 years, since mom and grandma took me. I'll bring my bootsy backup camera that takes incredibly blurry pictures and see what I can do with that. Cathy has a camera phone, and we may borrow Amy's camera if she can find her charger. If not, no big deal. I want to see clowns. And llamas. I'm excited. See y'all on Monday.

one thing after another

  • What's up homie G's? Nothing too exciting here, just working my booty off as always. Monday I slept, got up, worked, then took Michelle and Dad to dinner at Chilis. It was pretty yummy. Then I went to work again. Oooh. Tuesday I slept, got up, worked, came home and ate dinner, watched some TV and came here. As you can see, I'm just following the same old routine.
  • I spent way too much time on the phone Tuesday afternoon. I checked up on my software and it's been shipped so I'll get it any day now. That means I'll have my computer back soon enough. Thank God. Then I had to call T-Mobile since they had a mix up with the payment I did last week. After calling my bank and calling T-Mobile again, things were straightened out. I also took Michelle's phone off my plan so I'll be paying $20 less every month. Oh and then I forgot about the best part. While taking pics Tuesday morning, my camera decided to take a crap. Cathy was actually the one using it but I'm sure it isn't operator error. It keeps saying "lens error" and the lens won't go back into the camera, while it makes a weird noise. I talked to the folks at Canon, and now I'm UPSing my camera out this morning to be repaired. Kinda sucks but at least it's under warranty. The bummer is that I probably won't have my camera back by my Vegas trip. I have my old camera which takes very blurry pics, and Davina's bringing her camera. Plus no pics from the Apple Fair this weekend. Booo. It seems like one thing after another, I swear.
  • Besides visiting the UPS Store, this morning I'm going to hit the gym, and take my folks for the usual Walmart/Lucky run. I may take a quick snooze here at work since I'm exhausted and I'll be up until like 1pm. Oy vey.

i had a blast

  • What's up my homies? I had fun this weekend. I'm tired and sunburned, but that's okay. It was well worth it. Friday morning I should have gone to the gym, but I had last minute errands to run and I wanted to get enough sleep, so I skipped out. I'm bad. In the afternoon I drove to Stockton and met Sandi at her house. We went to dinner at BJ's. That place is awesome, and the pizuki was off the hook. Later on at her house I tried really hard to fall asleep but it was hot and my body just wouldn't let me. I didn't get much sleep that night but oh well.
  • Saturday was awesome times times infinity. Really it was. We did have to get up at the buttcrack of dawn (5am) since we had to be in Tracy by 6:30am to meet up with Sandy, one of Sandi's pals. When we were getting gas in Tracy I had to poo really bad and went at the McDonalds across the street and got myself an iced coffee. Yes I like sharing my poo stories. Everyone does it, people. Anyway after that we met up at Sandy's house since she was driving us down to Monterey, where the concert was at. It was a 2 hour drive from there and I nursed my drink the whole way, I needed it to wake myself up. We finally got there sometime in the late morning after making a few stops along the way. There was so much to do. We walked around and looked at vendors, got food and stuff. They had a great deal where if you buy a cup of lemonade or iced tea for $6, you could get unlimited refills. We definitely took advantage of that. Anyway I had a BBQ chicken sandwich for lunch, and later on I had a chicken burrito for dinner. Further on in the evening I had bread pudding for dessert. Yum! I also bought a neat shirt that says "High five if you love Jesus!" which I'm wearing right now. Plus we met Bob and Larry from Veggietales. We're so mature, I know. The musical acts we actually watched were Todd Agnew, Aaron Shust (who I met last year in Modesto), Superchick who I really like, Kutless and the headliner of the night, Newsboys. During their breakfast song we threw a box of Capn Crunch randomly at each other since that's a tradition. Everyone did it despite someone some dude randomly telling people earlier that we can't. Oh well. We cleaned up some of our mess, but it was impossible to clean it all. Oh yeah after Newsboys we saw stand-up comedy from Gary King (up and comer but he's awesome!) and Bob Smiley. I always want to call him Guy Smiley for some reason. He doesn't look like him, oh well. All in all I had a fantastic time and felt a real connection with God. Oh I almost forgot. I signed up up to sponsor a child in Africa. I get to write to her and send her my picture and everything, I'm real excited about that. I have so much that I'm blessed to have and I take it for granted, while kids in third world countries and physically and spiritually starving. I wanna make a difference. I feel like singing MJ's "Man In The Mirror". Haha.
  • Sunday was pretty low key. We didn't get back to Stockton until about 3am, and I crashed there at Sandi's until around 8. Then I went to Mcdonalds for some breakfast and iced coffee, and headed on home. Once back in the good old SLZ I did some housework, took a shower, and watched The Meeksville Ghost starring Judge Reinhold of course and then some of Scrubs season 3. Then I napped for a very long time, woke up and made dinner, then watched Hot Shots! and napped again. This week I'm working 68 hours so I need all the rest I can get. I posted new pics on my page, Sandi sent them to me. As soon as I get the computer back, you all know I'll hundreds of pics to post from over the last few months. Okay gotta scrounge up some food, I'm hungry.

i'm gonna have a rockin weekend

  • Heidi ho neighbors. What's crackin? Not much here. Let's see Wednesday I did the same old routine. Slept, worked at Traffic, then I went to Davina's house and we went over our plans for Vegas. They're all set and I can't wait! Later on I went home and worked on some laundry, did some dishes, cleaned the litterbox and made supper. Then I watched TV and went to work. Thursday was grocery day. I should have gone to the gym but I was exhausted and I had to be home before noon since the Roto Rooter guy was coming to unclog the sink. I actually got home before 11am miraculously, and had time to put groceries away, put stuff in the dryer and veg out and watch some TV for a change. Roto Rooter man came and got the sink unclogged by 12:30pm, and I was in bed asleep by 1pm. I got 8 glorious hours of sleep, it was great.
  • This weekend should be totally awesome. I'm hanging out with Sandi tonight and sleeping over at her house, because we're leaving for Monterey with one of her work pals around 6am on Saturday. Spirit West Coast is kinda like a Lollapalooza/Warped Tour for Christian rock, in a nutshell. It's a 3 day long event but we're only going on the last day, which is fine. We'll be there all day and I'll be back at home sometime very early on Sunday morning. I may miss church, but oh well. Sunday I'm supposed to meet with my cousin Kim about a CD I'm making for her in the next month or so. We're probably gonna hang out and do lunch somewhere, I guess. Well see ya later folks, I'm gonna finish the rest of my breakfast here and chill out.
