- Hey there homies. It's the middle of the week. Not much going on. Monday I worked at Traffic, came home, did housework, watched tv and came to work. Tuesday I did pretty much the same thing. On the way home from Traffic I stopped by my Dad's house to check up on him, then went home for dinner and to watch Scrubs. I know most of the first 6 seasons by heart and that's scary. These new episodes are pretty awesome.
- So yeah, I'm here eating veggies, drinking water and passing the time. The rest of this week should be semi-normal. I may go to some church coffee social thing on Friday evening with Davina. Free coffee and maybe a chance to flirt with hot Christian boys. We'll see what happens. I'm working A LOT next week, but that's good. More money for my L.A. trip in March. Whoo hoo. This morning I'm going to the gym and it's grocery day. That's how exciting life is. Oh yeah, I'm addicted to Twitter so if you tweet, here's my addy. www.twitter.com/djlisas. Follow me.

wonderful weekend
- What's up my peeps? Not a whole lot here. I had a pretty darn good weekend. Friday morning I went to breakfast at Denny's with Leeanne and Davina. It was pretty tasty. Then I went to the gym, and took Dad to his doctor appointment. He lost 5 lbs of water weight over the week. He has to have an echo-cardiogram done later in the month just to see what's going on. Other than that, we're just keeping his feet elevated and making sure he takes his water pill. Friday evening I hung out with Fernando. We took his son Joey to the duck pond, then ate leftover chinese and ice cream and watched Baby Mama. Good times.
- Saturday I worked in SF, then went to the gym. After that I went home and hung with Cathy and later on Amy hung out for a bit. I also made some "No Pudge" brownies. I bought the mix for a while ago at Trader Joe's. They're kinda chewy, but I like em. Less fat. I found a recipe for cornbread using yogurt and I may try it subbing eggbeaters for eggs and Splenda for sugar. We'll see how that goes later on this week.
- Sunday morning I dragged myself out of bed and went to church. Good message, about Satan being very deceptive and fooling Eve. I mean I kinda understand that woman are gullable, but come on now. I think if it were Adam he would have been fooled too. That's just my two cents. Anyway after church Davina and I went to lunch at Fenton's Creamery in Oakland. Oh man I love that place. Mostly the ice cream. Swiss milk chocolate. Heaven in a bowl. Later on we went back to my place for a brief nap then walked to the duck pond, around it and back. She kept her arm around me pushing me to go faster, so it was a good workout. Later on I uploaded pics and edited a new video and added it on Youtube. So that was my weekend.
- This week should be nice and low key. I'm hoping to get back to the gym at least 3 days a week now. Wish me luck. Oh yeah.. here's the video I made, especially for Cindy.. she wants to see more of what my days are like so I included lots of driving/walking to work and looking around inside. If you need more depth tell me what you want to see, girl.

So glad it's Friday
- Hey there folks. I'm so glad it's Friday. I'm wiped out. Let's see Wednesday morning I got my new crowns on my molars at the dentist. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes flat. Awesome. Then I did the grocery run with Michelle. Not much excitement there. I did catch up on sleep that afternoon, which was good. Thursday I spent a good part of the day time watching my dad at my house. He fell in love with our pitbull Prada and wanted to take her home. He was in a good spirits and thanked me several times for bringing him over there.
- This weekend I'm hoping to get more rest. This morning after work I'm going to breakfast with Davina, and possibly going walking before taking Dad to his followup doctor appointment. Later on in the afternoon/evening Grace and Fernando already have me booked. I have no idea what we're going but Grace reserved me earlier this week. Haha. Saturday I'm working in SF, then hopefully going home to work on housework and veg out with movies and such. I need some lazy time. Sunday morning I'm going to church since I promised Davina I would, then maybe going to the gym or walking afterward. Fun stuff. Well I'm about to take a power snooze, I got maybe about 4-5 hrs of sleep total yesterday, and I'm pooped.

kinda trying to eat better
- What's up my homies? Not too much here.. I guess. Let's see, on Monday I worked at Traffic, then had to stop by Dad's house since he was not cooperating with what Michelle was telling him to do. Apparently, taking his medication and lying down in bed are just too challenging. At least to him. This annoyed me since Michelle called me way too many times there at work and I wasted an hour of my precious "chill out" time in between jobs. Ugh. Later on I came here, and that was it. Tuesday was pretty routine. Worked at Traffic, came home and made dinner, watched new eps of Scrubs. One was Sesame Street themed which was awesome. I was way too excited. Later on I came here, and now I'm blogging. Duh.
- This morning I have another dentist appointment so they can take off my temporary crowns and give me my permanent ones. Should take about 10 minutes. Then it's grocery shopping time. I'm going to try and eat even healthier. Compared to the people I live with, I'm a health nut, and in reality I'm really far from it. Kinda hard to be a health nut with a plethora of dessert foods on hand. I do manage to make my own dinner instead of indulging in tacos and sloppy joes most of the week. Earlier tonight I did have a tiny slice of cheeseburger pie with my gardenburger and green beans. I can't resist the fluffy crust. Then a guy from down the hall at work brought a pizza in here. He made me take 2 slices but I threw one away, and picked almost everything off the one I ate. Still, I've had more than my share of saturated fat today. Whoo hoo. I'm digressing. So yeah I'm going to try to eat regular cooked oatmeal instead of instant sugary stuff. Whole grain rice instead of white, nonfat cottage cheese instead of yogurt. Lots of fruits and veggies, as usual. Hope this will help.

Kinda worried
- What's up my homies? How has your weekend been? Mine's been okay, I guess. Friday morning I went to breakfast at IHOP with Michelle, then took Dad to his doctor appointment. We got bad news, but Michelle and I kinda expected it. He's got congestive heart failure. He's on diuretics and potassium, and so far they seem to be working. He's had to pee about once an hour all weekend long. A few months ago he had a little swelling in his ankles/feet, and his doctor told us to keep an eye on it. Well now he has a lot of swelling in his ankles/feet/calves, and we brought it to their attention. That plus he can't sleep lying flat. It sucks, but I'm thinking positive. My mom had heart failure/kidney failure and lived another 4 years, and it was officially the cancer that killed her. I say if Dad listens to the doctors and takes his meds he should have at least a few more years left. I'm so positive, I know.
- Okay that was a buzzkill. Thought I'd get it out in the open. Easier to write it here than to talk about it conversations and depress everybody. The rest of my weekend was okay, given the circumstances from Friday. I worked Saturday morning, then dropped by Fernando's house for a bit before picking up Michelle to run some errands. She made me slightly irritated since she first mentioned going to one store for medical supplies and then demanded that I take her to the bank and the mall. I'm sorry, but I don't play that way. You can ask me if I'd like to go there, but don't assume I'm your taxi driver. Anyway we went out to Stoneridge, and I got a few more bad DVDs. Sixpack starring Kenny Rogers/Erin Gray, and My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin/Rick Moranis. Later on in the evening Cathy and I went to Trader Joe's and I picked up a few things here and there, including stuff for dinner. Stuffed pasta shells with alfredo sauce and fresh green beans. Yum. Later on that night I made Cathy watch Sixpack in my room while we played Uno. She was not amused. Haha.
- Sunday morning Cathy and I took Dad up to Sebastopol with A LOT of pitstops on the way. First we went to Starbucks then Dad had to pee. Then we stopped in Petaluma at Coldstone so he could pee. Then at McDonalds in Sebastopol so he could pee. Then after the cemetary at Foster's Freeze so he could pee. Then Cathy's job in Richmond. Then at my house. So yeah the diuretics seem to be working. Let's hope they keep working. Anyone that wants to pray for Dad feel free to do so, because I am.

MMMM I want me some IHOP
- Hey there homie G's. It's an early Friday morning and I'm trying to kill time. The last few days haven't been too bad. Wednesday morning I did grocery shopping with Michelle, then went home, did housework and went to bed. Worked here later that night of course. Thursday morning I worked out at the gym, then dropped by Pac N Save to visit Fernando and grab a bagel (I love em with low cal cream cheese and sugarfree blackberry jam.. yum). He was happy to see me, and we might hang out this weekend. Tonight he's going skating with his church's youth group so maybe not. Haha. Anyway yeah, nothing too monumental.
- I plan on actually relaxing this weekend, I hope. This morning Michelle and I are going out to breakfast then taking Dad to a doctor appointment. This evening I'll probably stay in with Cathy and play lots of Uno. Saturday I work in San Fran, then I don't know what's going on after that. I'd like to get some exercise in sometime. Sunday we're going to Sebastopol since Mom's bday is next week, and we might go to Lagunitas as well. Fun stuff!
- I am so starving right now. I ate dinner around 7pm, a piece of cornbread around 9, and all I've had since then is water and grapes. I may have some yogurt around 5 or so. But I'm starving. See, if I ate every time I was hungry, I'd be like 500 lbs. Seriously. I'll save room for some scrambled egg substitute and some harvest grain n nut pancakes. Yummy. Only 5 more hours till IHOP!

Cat scratches and dental fun
- Heidi ho there people. First of all for some strange reason the last blog I did is not showing up on my Myspace page itself. If you go to read all of my blogs, it's on there. Also Myspace was semi-screwy on Monday morning since the date on that entry was 1981. Hahaha!
- Nothing monumental going on. Monday I worked at Traffic, came home, made dinner/watched TV, then came to work. Oh yeah. My cat Spencer scratched the heck outta me. I was renewing my Norton subscription and apparently he and JD (Cathy's cat) had an altercation on the table next to me. All I know is he leaped in my lap and hung onto me for about 10 seconds, leaving a nice gash on my right hand and a few small scratches on my left leg. I screamed bloody murder. A few minutes later he came over and offered his version of an apology which is rubbing on my legs and going "Rhee rheeee". I'm sure my cat scratch will heal just fine. It's a little pink right now but that's normal. I've had way too many battle scars from animals over the past 28 years or so.
- Tuesday morning I was in for a real treat. I got two of my right upper molars drilled and temporarily crowned. I get my permanent crowns next Wednesday. So right now I'm running on about 4 hours of sleep and my teeth/jaw are kinda sore. Boo. The dentist also told me things I've heard every time I come there. My mouth is small (so get the kid instruments), and I have a prominent underbite. I can't change my mouth size and I can't afford jaw surgery/braces so um no. Hence why I smile with my mouth open so you can't notice. Haha.
- So yeah, this morning I'm doing to grocery run with Michelle, and I hope to be in bed before noon. Better go make my list. Taa-taa!
- P.S. Davina I'm not sure if you said you'd call back or for me to give you a call. I'll give you a holla in a while. Taking a power snooze soon.

Fun weekend
- Howdy folks. I'm back. I had a pretty fun weekend. Friday evening I hung out with Sandi in Stockton. It took twice as long to get there due to traffic, but it was worth it. We had dinner at BJ's, then watched Bedtime Stories starring Adam Sandler. I thought it was funny and cute. Not hilarious, but then again it's a Disney movie. Oh yeah, we finally exchanged Christmas gifts, she gave me a cool t-shirt with a Bible scripture on it. I'll wear it later on this week.
- Saturday morning I worked in San Fran, then drove on over to Lodi. I met Kimmie, Joyce, Cathy and TJ for a late lunch at Moo Moo's, then the four of us went for ice cream at Coldstone while TJ napped in the car. After dessert we had time to kill so we checked out a used bookstore across the street. This place was really neat. First of all they had a cute calico kitty roaming the place. He let me pet him and take pictures, so cute. Also, they had a used VHS section which totally rocked. I bought The Dream Team starring Michael Keaton/Christopher Lloyd, The Crazysitter starring Ed Begley Jr/Beverly D'Angelo, and The Principal starring Jim Belushi/Rae Dawn Chong. AND..... I found a cassette single of "On Our Own" by Bobby Brown from the Ghostbusters II soundtrack. I could not pass that one up. Bobby's fade is so jammin. Next time I'm downtown in Lodi with Kimmie I'm going to have to go back. That place is awesome. So we finally got back to Kimmie's place, and had some cake that she bought for Cathy, as a late birthday celebration. It was german chocolate and very delicious. Soon afterwards Cathy and TJ left, and we watched When You Remember Me starring Fred Savage and Kevin Spacey. Very inspirational story, kinda sad at the end. Next up on the movie roster was Miracle on Interstate 880, which I bought online last month. Basically it was about the Cypress Freeway collapse after the 89 quake and two stories of survivors. Buck Helm, the guy who came out alive after 3 days, but died a month or two later, and that other little boy Julio (forgot his last name) who had to have his left leg amputated in order to be pulled from the wreckage. Sandi Duncan was in it, so was Eric McCormack pretending to be latino. Oh yeah, my St. Elsewhere TV boyfriend David Morse was in it too. Whoo. After that made for TV drama, Kimmie put on Gaby: A True Story. It was about a young lady who had severe cerebral palsy and could only move her left foot, and was the first disabled person to attend regular public school back in the 1960's in Mexico. Very moving story, even had some disabled people sex scene in there. Racy. We stopped the movie about halfway through because I was falling asleep, and finished it on Sunday afternoon.
- Sunday we both slept in for quite a while. I woke up before Kimmie and finished my book about the Duggars, that family with 18 kids that has a show on TLC. Kimmie was awake soon enough, and we finished our Gaby movie. Then I went out and got Subway for lunch along with Starbucks coffee. Then I put on an episode of 1st and 10, this HBO comedy that was on in the 80s/early 9os with Delta Burke. It was so boring we only sat through that one episode. Next we tried to watch What's Love Got To Do With It, but Kimmie's DVD player was being a piece of crap. We opted on The Good Son with Macaulay Culkin/Elijah Wood. That movie is creepy, and I'm glad Mac gets it at the end. Good riddence creepy child. I chose to put on The Dream Team as the last movie choice. It was funny, but not hilarious. Mental patients lost in New York City, hilarity ensues. The previews at the end for Fletch Lives and K-9 were cheesy and seemed even funnier. We had about 30 minutes to kill before I had to leave, so we played Super Mario 3 in Kimmie's bedroom. I suck at video games, I suck it hard. It was fun though. Oh I can't forget, Kimmie made dinner from scratch. Roasted chicken with celery, carrots, onions and mushrooms. Along with a baked potato. So tasty. Plus she gave me a new Ghostbusters shirt that I didn't have as a late Christmas present, which I totally didn't expect.
- So yay this weekend was fun. This upcoming week will be busy. Working 55 hours, dreaded dentist appointment on Tuesday morning (means I'll get about 4 hrs of sleep.. ugh), and Dad has a doctor appointment on Friday. Fun times. Okay, off to finish my leftover chicken.

my breath stanks
- What's up my homies? I'm so glad the weekend is here. I had a long week. Only worked 62 hours (including Saturday morning), could be worse. I was asked to work at Traffic on Thurs/Fri but I had errands to run and I have plans today. Oh well. Next week I'm only working 55 hours, well so far anyway.
- Again, life's been fairly uneventful. Wednesday I worked at both jobs and ate dinner/watched TV in between. Thursday morning I worked out at the gym, and some random guy at the front desk told me minors aren't allowed to work out during school hours and wanted to see my I.D. When he realized I was way over 18 he had a sheepish look on his face. Hahaha. After that I did the grocery run with Michelle. It took a while since we had stops at Petsmart, Longs Drugs and Starbucks along the way. Also Dad was at home and being VERY uncooperative when it came to letting us help him clean up and getting a tube feeding. He still has a tube in his tummy. Long story. But yeah he was pretty irate but I think it's from very low blood sugar since nothing was in his system. It just took a long while to get him to cooperate with us, and wasted a lot of my time. After I left Dad's house I had to drop by the bank and then put all the groceries away at home. So I didn't get to sleep until about 2pm. Craziness.
- This weekend will be busy but awesome. Friday evening I'm hanging out with Sandi. Dinner and a movie. Nice date. Haha. Working in San Fran Saturday morning then heading out to Lodi for my monthly 80s adventure. Fun times. Okay, gotta go.
- P.S. I ate onions earlier. My breath stanks and I'm gonna have some nasty farts brewing soon.

chubby wubby
- Hey there folks. I'm back again. So far this week has been fairly uneventful. Monday I worked at Traffic then here, and Tuesday I did exactly the same thing. There were two new episodes of Scrubs on ABC, so that rocked. Other than that, same old grind.
- Not a whole lot to discuss, really. I've been reading a blog called Big Fat Deal that has a lot of good articles about acceptance of fat people. No, I'm not going to stand on a soapbox and yell at the fat haters out there, but I think Hollywood takes their ideals to an extreme. Seriously. On the other hand I'm still on my period and get quite defensive since I feel like a fat whale. Haha. Check it out sometime: www.bfdblog.com.
- This week is pretty routine. Working at Traffic yet again this afternoon. Grocery shopping on Thursday. Kickin it with Sandi Friday night and going to Lodi on Saturday/Sunday. WHOOO. Okay off to do surveys, catch y'all later.

She's baaaack.. and scarier than ever
- I'm baaaack. Yeah as most of you know I've been really sick over the last week or so. Being sick sucks. It all started out with feeling feverish Thursday before last. I went home and slept it off, and went into work at Traffic that Friday feeling a bit under the weather but not so bad. By the time that four hour shift was over I felt like I'd been hit by a mack truck. I had to work here that night since I had agreed to fill in for one of the weekend guys. I was hoping to get a few hours of naptime then come on over here and rough it. Lying there on my bed things went from bad to worse. I know I had a fever because I had chills so bad I physically began to shake. I tried calling a few coworkers at the last minute but no one could cover for me, so I came in.
- Luckily I had the rest of the weekend off. I still felt semi-crappy on Sunday and left several voicemails for coworkers to cover me. One person called me back to let me know she couldn't cover, she had to work at her other job. Since no one else bothered to call, I dragged myself in here, expecting to sit half-dead in my chair for at least 6 1/2 hrs until my boss came in. After clocking in downstairs, I came in and discovered that my shift was indeed covered and I wasn't even made aware. I quickly left, went home and vegged out. I was kinda miffed that I got dressed, made a lunch and drove over here when I could have stayed home sleeping. Oh well. I am very fortunate that I somehow got the rest of the week off. Thank God for sick pay.
- See on Monday I started feeling a tad better but my voice sounded like Peter Brady when he hit puberty. Monday night the beginnings of a terrible ear infection started, and continued through Wednesday despite ear drops and plenty of Tylenol/Sudafed. (Note: I still went to my part-time gigs on Tues/Wed and Sat so give me credit. I'm a trooper.) So I am eternally grateful to the folks here at work for filling in for me all week, because I was sick as a dog and needed the down time. Oh yeah, in the midst of all this my *visitor* arrived on Thursday and that was a load of fun all weekend. Yay.
- I did have a little fun here and there. Spent the majority of my time in bed watching movies I've never gotten around to even opening. Also played a lot of Uno games with Cathy. Thursday morning things were semi-routine as I took the car to get maintenance at Toyota and did the grocery run. On Friday Cathy and I took a little road trip to Laganitas where Dad grew up (ages 10-17, he lived in San Francisco before then) and Samuel Taylor State Park where we annually camped as kids. Lots of fun times/memories. I think we may surprise Dad and swing by there after visiting Sebastopol. Saturday I worked, went walking, and took Dad/Michelle to dinner. Sunday I slept in, went walking again and did housework. So yup, back to the old routines.
- I'm back to 58 hours of work this week. I don't mind it, I was getting a serious case of cabin fever hanging around at home all the time. Okay, off to do some surveys or something.

feeling crappy
- Hey there folks. Back again. I feel another cold/sinus infection coming on. I'm fairly sure I'm running a low grade fever, whole body aches, headache, sinus pressure, swollen ears, throat hurts. Fun stuff. All I can do is try to rest when I can (which is not often enough) and take it from there. I hate getting sick, and I seem to at least four times a year. Hooray for me.
- Nothing much has been going on besides that. Wednesday morning I did the grocery run, then came to work and did a nice 12 hour shift. I was bored out of my mind, watching episodes of Emergency! and The Brady Bunch. I also felt very tired so I skipped the gym on Thursday morning. I thought it was the long shift that did me in, but now I realize it was my body telling me to take it easy. Thursday I got sleep, made dinner, and played Uno with Cathy and TJ while watching TV. I got schooled, man. Later on I took a nap, and now I'm here.
- Well, today I'm working at Traffic and I'll be here again tonight. Filling in for the weekend guy, massive overtime. Can't work too much overtime in this economy. I'm not working in SF on Saturday since I'm supposed to attend my cousin Joshua's 1st bday party. If I'm still sick, I'll skip out so I can get sleep and not infect my whole family. Sunday I'm finally getting my oil changed (I've talked about it all week.. haha) and hanging out with Sandi in Stockton. Fun times.

Had a fun shopping day
- Word up homie Gs. Its the middle of the week, and almost 2009. Tomorrow to be exact. Where will I be when the ball drops? Here, of course. Anyway here's what's been going on lately. Monday morning I decided to order a Flip video camera on BestBuy.com since I had a $50 gift card to burn and I like new toys. I picked it up that evening after working at Traffic and picking up Michelle first. It took forever there in the store, but I finally got it. It's very easy to use and looks kinda cheap, but I hooked it up to my TV and the picture quality is a step up from my digital camera's videos. I think I'll get some good use of this gadget in 2009.
- Tuesday morning I wanted to go to the gym and get my oil changed, but I opted for sleep. I felt guilty but everyone I spoke to told me I deserve at least 7 hours of rest. Cathy woke me up around 3pm, I got ready and we went to The Englander for dinner. I had a salad, split some popcorn chicken, and ate half my chicken burrito. I'm eating the other half right now. It's so yummy. After dinner we hit up Newpark Mall and had a grand ol time. I'm glad we took the time to go to Steve & Barry's. Everything is 50% off since they're going out of business, and the clothes are already cheap. I got 2 pairs of girly jeans and a shirt for $18. Beat that with a baseball bat. We went to other stores as well, like Spencer Gifts. Oh and I got my eyebrows waxed again. They needed serious maintenance. Last store we went to was Target. I got a cute girly shirt, mascara, gel pens, a new car air freshener, Cocktails For Dummies, and I can't remember what else. I'd like to again thank Aunt Brenda and TJ for the gift cards and money so I could get cool stuff while shopping today. Oh and thanks Fern for paying for half of my camera. Haha. Not like any of those 3 people have a Myspace or read my blog. Still, they get mad props. Mad props to all of my friends, just for being my friends. I love you all. Okay I need to make a fat grocery list, see y'all later.

hey hey hey
- Howdy doody folks. I'm back from a pretty darn cool weekend. Busy, but cool. Friday afternoon I worked at Traffic, then picked up Cathy's bday cake. Later on I went home and uploaded pics on Myspace, then watched Step Brothers in my room and fell asleep.
- Saturday morning I worked at my job in SF, then met coworkers from Traffic for lunch at California Pizza Kitchen. Good grub, good talk. I was in the middle of the table and heard two totally different conversations. Don't you love that? Afterwards I barely made it here on time to fill in for 3 hours for Shannon. She was in Indiana visiting family for the holidays. Sweet overtime for me, I can dig it. While I was here I ordered the pizza, cheesy bread and hot wings for Cathy's bday thing online, and they were ready to pick up when I got there. Awesome. The bill wasn't awesome but hey it's Cathy's bday. Well technically it's tomorrow, but whatever. So by the time I got home it was 7:30, and I didn't feel bad because no one really showed up until 8. Fernando, Grace, Joey, TJ's friend Joe, Amy, Stuart, Amanda, her husband and two kids all came. It was great. I ate way too much pizza/cheesy bread/cookies. Oh freakin well. Fun times for all.
- Sunday morning I slept in until 9:30am and went to the 1:30am service at church. We were there 30 min early since Davina had told me 11am. I was kinda mad since I lost 30 min of sleep, and Michelle really didn't want to be there at all. I told her she was there for a reason, God didn't bring us by accident. Although I can tell you the sermon wasn't that enthralling. He was talking about how we all go through trials, and to love God through the good times and bad. Yes that is a good point, and believe me over the last 3 years I have had some trials. Oooohwheee. I really don't need more. 2008 has been a lot less stressful than the previous two years. Moving on, he spent most of the time talking about how the church tried unsuccessfully in court to get a new building and how bummed he was about it at first. I mean I feel for the guy but he went on FOREVER. That and there were 3 baby dedications we had to sit through. I'm starting to like first service more, at least we don't have to stay late. After that was over, we took Michelle to pick up an extension cord for her room then dropped her off. Davina and I got lunch at Elio's there in San Leandro. Her dad and Uncle Willie were there too. Haha. I had a turkey cheeseburger and fruit. It was tasty. Afterward we went to my place and watched some special features from Step Brothers, then went on a walk to the duck pond and around the area, then back home. I'd say about a mile and a half of walking. Then we hit up McDonald's so she could get some McNuggets, and Starbucks so I could get my decaf skinny hazelnut latte, then I dropped her off at home. I uploaded more pics, then took a three hour nap, made dinner, and went to work. Whoohoo.
- This week I am working a lot. Cathy's bday is on Tuesday and I'm taking her shopping and out to dinner. Gotta utilize them gift cards. Yay! Okay I've done enough blabbing. Later sk8ters.

Hope you all had a great Xmas
- I had a very fun holiday with my family. Christmas Eve I didn't sleep as much as I wanted to. I was excited. I woke up around 1pm when Amy came over to exchange gifts, and stayed up the rest of the day. She gave me Tropic Thunder, and New Kids On The Block Greatest Hits on DVD. Plus a Mister Rogers shirt that I don't have. Awesome! After she left I went with Cathy to Togo's and Starbucks for dinner/caffiene. I was bad and didn't get a decaf latte. Oh well. So I went home and showered, then picked up Dad and Michelle, and went to Uncle Jim/Aunt Brenda's house. We had an awesome time. Yes scary Aunt Becky was there with Uncle Ray, so were their sons Dustin and Brandon, my cousins. My closer cousins Kim and Terry were there with their respective husbands/kids as well. It was a fun time. The best part was when Santa showed up. I got a picture on his lap, that'll be uploaded this evening. It was great to be with family and friends, and eats lots of sugarloaded goodies. Kim kept literally piling more stuff on my plate. As we were leaving she gave us each bags with even more cookies, candy and yummy treats. Geez woman.
- Christmas Day was also fun. I got to sleep in until 3pm, about 8 hours of sleep. Cathy baked cookies and a ham, plus did a great job cleaning the living room. I'm so glad it looks semi-normal again. Once I was up and showered I put away laundry then picked up Dad and Michelle and brought them to our house. We had a great dinner with ham, stuffing, sweet potato casserole and rolls. There was Chex mix, chips, all kinds of cookies and brownies to nibble on. Oh yeah I had a little lite egg nog, and later on endulged in hot chocolate with marshmallows. We also had sweet potato and apple pies, but I haven't really dug into those yet. I'll try some tonight I guess. Yummy yummy. Soon we opened our presents. It was great looking at loved ones unwrapping boxes and getting excited. Here's what I remember getting.. money from TJ, Target giftcard from Aunt Brenda, about $25 in Starbucks giftcards from 3 different relatives, lottery scratchers (I won $3 and got 2 free tix), way too much candy (both of my sisters gave me stockings full of it plus what my cousin gave me the night before), two new pairs of jammie pants, two new sets of flannel bedsheets that match my new wall color, make-up, a Hickory Farms box, a Chocotini gift set, more body wash/lotion/spray, and a rubber duckie themed bath set. I think I did okay. After opening presents, our/TJ's pals Joe, Jeff and Alisha came over. Cathy, Alisha and I played Sesame Street Uno. I think I like regular Uno better. This one didn't have many cards and we kept having to shuffle. After many jokes and cups of coffee, the little gathering dissipated, and I took Michelle/Dad home. Now I'm at work. Again. Oh well.
- To anyone I missed, I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. I sure did. It's not about the gifts or even the food. It's about celebrating a baby born in a manger, who came to save us. It's about being with your family and friends, and making memories you'll look back on in 20 years. Not about fighting, not about getting wasted, not even about Santa Claus squeezing his fat booty down your chimney. Remember that.
- Okay I'm gonna go now. The next few weekends are going to be busy for me. I'm working overtime here as a favor for a few coworkers. That and Cathy's bday is next week. Lots going on. Everyone have a great weekend, I'm going to go join Leeanne's stupid vampire clan on Facebook so she'll shut up. Sorry Leeanne I love you dear but I think those apps on there are really retarded. Okay toodles.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Xmas
- Ho ho ho! It's almost Christmas time, folks. It's Christmas Eve, to be exact. Here's what's been going on in my world. Monday was insane. I worked at Traffic, and had kind of a stressful shift because of a coworker who left me with more than enough work to do. I had to leave at exactly 8pm since I had grocery shopping to accomplish. I did take off on time, then Michelle and I hit Walmart, Lucky and of course Starbucks. Walmart was all kinds of crazy. Unless you are stupid/desperate and have not completed your Christmas shopping, DO NOT GO IN THERE. Please. After our shopping I still had to go home and put away everything. This was no easy task since the dogs were inside and the stupid gates were up. Climbing over them with bags of food and someone's nose in my crotch was not easy. I was 30 minutes late getting here because of all this nonsense. Ugh the holidays.
- Tuesday was not so bad. I worked at Traffic again, went home, made dinner, and unwound a bit. Those few hours of down time back a difference. Now I'm at work and all is calm. I'm hecka excited about Christmas time. Last Christmas blew royally, with Mom dying just days before. This year my Aunt Brenda invited us over to join in the Christmas Eve festivities along with a bunch of other family members. I am bringing the camera. There will be footage of crazy Aunt Becky and pictures galore. I hear Santa Claus is coming too, and I'm wearing my elf shirt and hat. Haha. I still have to work here both tomorrow and on Christmas Day, but oh well. I get more comp days for it. In fact by the time my little vacay to L.A with Cathy takes place in March I can use all my comp days and cash in my vacation to use on the trip. My anniversary of working full-time here is in March anyway so I'll get another year's worth of vacation days. 3 weeks I believe. Okay enough rambling.
- Everyone have a very happy and safe holiday. I love all you guys. Thanks for the cards Davina and Dustin. Oh and Fernando too, although he doesn't have Myspace anymore. Anyone I forgot, my bad. I didn't send cards this year, sadly. I've just been so busy lately and such. Y'all will get "Merry Christmas" comments on your pages soon enough.

I miss you Mom.. and newsflash.. I'm fat!! ROTF
- Hey there homies. Back from another weekend. I actually got rest, can you believe it? Friday morning I worked at Traffic, then came home and collasped into bed. I was TIRED. I'm tired most of the time, but I was to the point of feeling drunk. I told my coworker Gianna to answer the phone, since I was kinda slurring my words. The other Lisa (Lisa D, who used to be Lisa C, you know her Leeanne) was doing traffic for KOIT and both she and Gianna made nummy treats. I was a bad Lisa. Okay anyway so I went home and conked out, and Cathy woke me up around 6pm to tell me she and TJ were going to the Iron Horse and I was invited. They waited for me to shower and eat some supper, then we took off. We only stayed there about an hour and I had a few drinks. Then we stopped by Coldstone and TJ treated me to a Who You Callin Shortcake? Sundae. Did I need it? Not really. It was good though. Face it, its the holidays, I'm already fat. Haha. Later I went home, watched TV and went to bed.
- Saturday morning I worked in SF, and got stuck for an extra 30 min on BART due to a track malfunction near Lake Merritt. Eventually I got back to San Leandro and went to the gym. No it didn't reverse all the bad stuff I've eaten lately, but whatever. Later on I came home and did housework, then watched a lot of TV. Oh and I made a mixed Christmas CD to bump in the car. I watched even more TV after that, then fell asleep in my room watching Scrubs.
- Sunday morning I woke up nice and refreshed. 11 hours of sleep will do that to ya. I think I deserved it. I took a shower, ate some instant Cream of Wheat (those servings are uber small, no wonder I'm hungry all the time), then Cathy and I picked up Michelle and Dad for our ride up to Sebastopol. We stopped by Safeway so Michelle could pick up flowers and I could get coffee for everyone. Soon we were on our way and were blasting Christmas tunes. The ride up there is so peaceful. After visiting Mom at the cemetary, we had lunch at McDonalds. I got my fries with no salt, if that helps. Yeah I was bad. Ugh so hard to eat healthy. So on the way back we got more coffee then headed on home. Once Cathy and I got back to the house we switched cars and I went with her to pick up some groceries at Lucky for her and TJ. TJ gave her money to buy food since he's a guy and eats triple what even I can put away. When we got back home I uploaded pics to Myspace then watched movies in my room. The cinema choices for the evening were "Single Santa Seeks Mrs. Claus" (thanks Kimmie) and "Like Father Like Son". Cathy came in and I popped a huge pimple on her buttcrack. I'm sure she's stoked to hear I'm blogging about it. It was gross.
- It's 3 days until Christmas and my schedule is hectic. I'm working all week of course, with comp days coming for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I'm actually doing our grocery run this evening since there's no way on God's green earth that I'm setting foot in a store on Christmas Eve. That's the only other time I'd have to squeeze in shopping. So yeah. Craziness.
- Yesterday was exactly one year since Mom passed. I really don't have enough time or energy to blog a giant retrospective about what the past 12 months have been like for our family. This will be my 2nd Christmas without her. Last Christmas was only 4 days after she passed and we were too busy planning her funeral arrangements to fully enjoy the holiday. I still wake up sometimes and wonder if it's a bad dream, if I call my Dad's house maybe she'll answer and not Michelle. Guess I'm just silly. I miss her a lot, and I always will. God needed her more than we did, obviously. I shouldn't be so selfish. Okay well I'm gonna go now. Here's a video Victoria from my fulltime job made at our Christmas dinner last week. I have 2 giant chins. LMAO

I hope you dance
- Hey there homies. Yes it is Friday. Here's what my past few days have been like. Wednesday morning I did the grocery shopping in a fast manner. Well I tried anyway but Michelle took her sweet time at Walmart and drove me up the wall. Then I managed to get 5 hours of sleep and had to be up and showered since Mikey was coming over a little before 4pm. Once he was safely in my car we had dinner at In-And-Out, then met Tricia at her house. She was the driver on our road trip, not me. Awesome since I got to relax and actually drink/enjoy myself for once. I ended up having a ton of fun there at the bar in Sacramento. I only had 4 drinks in 4 hours, so I wouldn't say that's too bad. Leeanne got plastered but hey it was her birthday and everyone kept buying her drinks. I also got to hang with friends I hadn't seen for a while, and learned to play beer pong. Good times. On the way back we had Del Taco and stopped in Pinole to pee. Well for Mikey to pee, since there was no open bathroom and I didn't feel like peeing on my socks. I held it until I got home. Mikey and I drove to my place from Tricia's, and watched In Living Color season 1 on my bed until we both fell asleep. What a Wednesday night off, huh?
- Thursday morning I had to be up kinda early since I was picking up Dad at 8am. Michelle wanted to go on a day trip with her boyfriend Albert to Sebastopol and I brought Dad to my house to keep an eye on him. First we stopped by Starbucks of course, and at home I got him settled in a chair with a blanket and a steady marathon of Animal Planet. Meanwhile I did dishes and laundry, straightened my room, and finished my little tribute video for my mom. I'll post it at the end of this blog. Cathy was home in the early afternoon and sent me to Lucky to get her blue cake frosting. She was baking a cake for her boss' bday. Once I got back from there, I took a nap in my room for a few hours. I dropped Dad at his house later on, then met my coworkers at Quinn's Lighthouse in Oakland for our holiday dinner. I ended up being myself, Brad, Victoria and our boss Jon. None of the part-timers showed up. I didn't mind too much, the food there is kinda pricy. Once I saw the bill for the four of us I almost crapped myself. Thank you Family Radio for paying for my steak, rice, veggies, salad, garlic bread, and bread pudding. Yum. I forgot the stupid memory card for my camera so I didn't take a lot of pictures. The ones I did post came from my phone. Victoria and Jon both took some pics so eventually I'll post them once they're available. After dinner I went home and watched TV for a bit and took a nap, then came to work. The End.
- I hope to actually get enough rest this weekend. That always seems to be my goal lately and I rarely accomplish it. This morning after I get off work here I'm pulling a shift until 11:30 or noon at Traffic. Extra money for me. I hope to be in bed by 1pm and then I'll sleep until whenever. Saturday I'm working in San Fran, then I hope to return to the gym and rest later on. Sunday is one year to the day since my mom passed away from cancer. My sisters, Dad and I are going to the cemetary to see her, eat lunch, get coffee, etc. Oh yeah, here's the little tribute video I made for my mom. It isn't much, but it made me teary-eyed anyway.

I miss caffeine
- Hey there folks, it's me sleepy Lisa. I haven't had caffeine in days and it shows. I am not counting decaf lattes since they have only a trivial amount of caffeine. Anyway not too much going on lately. Worked at Traffic both Monday and Tuesday. Went home, made dinner, ate it, tried to watch TV. My roommate's been here with her kids the last few nights. I don't mind too much, although I haven't been able to work on my Mom project because those kids are so distracting.
- I should have enough fun today/tomorrow. Tonight I'm going to Leeanne's bday get together in Sacramento and carpooling with friends. I actually got the night off so we don't have to leave too early. Mikey's staying the night at my house (just like old times), it should be fun. Thursday morning/afternoon I'm babysitting my dad. Michelle is taking a well deserved trip with her boyfriend to Sebastopol. Basically I'm picking up my dad and bringing him to my house, and he can watch TV/nap while I also take a nap. I may do some work on the project if I'm conscious enough. Then in the evening I'm going to a work Christmas dinner at Quinn's Lighthouse in Oakland. Whoo free dinner.
- Okay I'm almost near the point of falling asleep, looks like it's time for a power snooze. Toodles.

Simply having a wonderful Christmas time
- What's up y'all? I'm back from my weekend, which didn't seem to last long enough. Lemme break it down for ya. Friday afternoon I got up, showered, picked up Davina and headed on up to Cache Creek to see my hot dancing men Australia's Thunder From Down Under. There was a little traffic on I-80 but we made it there in about 2 hours. We had more than enough time to eat at the buffet before the show. It was a little overpriced but there was an awesome spread. Lots of different meats and seafood (which I didn't eat.. DUH), that's probably why it cost so much. Lots of desserts too. I got my real taste of dessert once the show started. Oh my lordy it sure was worth the drive. I'm sure Davina's favorite part was the bald guy who ran up to our section in his thong and she got a hug. Haha. We waited afterward and got pictures with them, in case you haven't noticed the new pictures on my page. Haha. I'd say overall I prefer the Chippendales. The Thunder guys are better looking, but the Chippendales put on a more entertaining show, use more props, and also sing/play instruments. American Storm is coming to Cache Creek in April, so we'll definitely be there. Anyone wanna join us? Haha.
- Saturday morning I did the usual work in San Fran, and in the afternoon I took Michelle and Dad shopping at Newpark Mall for the last of the Christmas shopping. Dad was pretty bored and I tried my best to entertain the old guy, but it didn't help much. Eventually we left the mall, got coffee and hit the freeway. There was a fun incident where Dad decided to sip his coffee (a big no-no), the lid came off and I got a nice hot beverage in my crotch. Not cool. Literally. After pulling over, finding the lid on the floor, and sponging off my pants, we drove around and looked at Christmas lights on houses. I love holiday time, even though it sucks not having my Mom here to enjoy it anymore. Mom loved the holidays. After dropping them off, I went home and spent quite a while wrapping presents. I had like 20-30 of them. Sorry but I like to give, and most people are getting more than one present. Haha. Eventually I settled down and took a LONG nap. One of those where you lay down for a few minutes and wake up 3 hours later. Then I woke up after 4 hours, uploaded pictures, then went to sleep.
- Sunday I was a good girl, woke up, had breakfast, picked up Michelle and went to church. Afterward we hung out with Davina for a few hours. We had lunch at Nick's, then went to Target and blew up our Thunder pics into 8 X 10s, and got frames. Mine is on my wall by my bed. Haha. Also picked up a Christmas 80s CD. At home later I downloaded a lot more Christmas music, ate dinner, watched TV, and took a nap. Now here I am.
- This week I am one busy woman. Working at Traffic, going to a birthday party, a work related Christmas dinner, babysitting Dad. Fun stuff. Also working on that video project. Fun times.
