Finally getting rest..

The good...

1. Slept 7 1/2 hrs on Wednesday, and 9 hours on Tuesday! I needed it.
2. My eye doctor says my presription is actually weaker now, my eyesight is better. No more astigmatism, I'm still nearsighted but not as bad. Praise god. When I finally get my new glasses next week, I'll be posting pics. Don't worry.
3. Got some cardio done at the gym on Tuesday morning, finally.
4. Myspace lets you upload up to 300 pics now, amazing. I'm gonna have fun with this stuff.


The not so good..

1. Fucker on Youtube keeps making unkind references to my weight on my videos. I'm not that fat, am I? Somedays I feel like I'm on top of the world, some stupid kid opens her mouth and there goes my good day.
2. Had a major breakdown/fight with my mom on Tuesday morning. I was exhausted beyond belief, running errands, getting tired of spending my days working and running errands. I snapped. I felt bad later. I also went home and cried my heart out for about 20 minutes while Turbo comforted me, then I fell asleep. I felt so much better once I released everything.
3. Have a dentist appointment this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to getting teeth drilled again, plus having to pay for it. Well, at least 20% of it.
4. Had to pay for my glasses/exam in full on Wednesday, and my work is paying for a good chunk of it. Still sucks since I won't see my money for like 3 weeks. I don't even get my itemized receipt till I pick em up, so I can't turn in anything to my work until next week. Ugh. I wish I could qualify for Medi-Cal, but I think I make too much money. Nice. I can't afford my own insurance, but I make too much money for the state to help. Thanks Arnold! Once I get my car paid off and my credit cards way down in like 1 or 2 years, I think I can afford my own private health insurance.

A new year, a new beginning

Good

1. A coworker noticed I've began losing weight. I'm not really shedding the pounds right now, but I'm pretty stocky and muscular so I guess I'm toning better. I don't know, really.
2. Dad was awake today, which is good since I hear he pretty much slept through the weekend.
3. Actually got 8 hours sleep on Monday afternoon/evening. Praise god.
4. Still infatuated with my XM radio. I've been bumpin The Groove lately, with old school R&B soul stuff. Think I scared Victoria with it, but that's okay. Haha.

Bad

1. Been eating way too much of Cathy's party leftovers. That's the bummer. I don't like to waste food, so leftover buffalo wings, pizza, potato salad and lots of cake. (Not all at once, I'm not that bad. Little bits here and there.)
2. I'm still in the midst of working 10 days in a row, with some crazyass shifts. The fact that I'm helping my mom everyday and also going to optometrist and dentist appointments leaves me with little sleep lately. I can't wait until Friday night. I need to chill out and do something really fun involving alcohol.
3. I've been head achy the past 3 days or so, but I think it's due to my need for new glasses. Mine broke, I've scotch taped them together until I can get an appointment for an eye exam and get the frames in. I think the tape messes with my peripheral vision or something. Maybe I just need a new prescription and God make me break the frames as a wake up call. Who knows?

good weekend

My Friday and Saturday..

Good...

1. Had fatass party at my place for Cathy's bday. More people came than expected. Fun was had by all.
   
2. I LOOOOOOOOVE my XM radio. It so kicks ass. Leeanne was whining about how satellite radio is hurting terrestrial radio and crap, but that's what they said about cable back in the 70s. Is there still network TV? Yeah I thought so too.
   
3. Despite my lack of sleep at home I've been dozing and taking some kickass naps here at work off and on. Not anything to be too proud of, and they aren't technically naps. Just periods of time where I shut my eyes and drift off for 20 min intervals only to wake up to reminder alarms, IMs from friends on AIM or friends calling me.
   

Bad...

1. My glasses broke on Friday evening. I rolled over on them in bed. I have to venture to Walmart this afternoon after work to get a new prescription and frames. Thank god work pays me back 80%.
   
2. Had to leave the party early last night. Major bummer, we were having a ton of fun.
   
3. Didn't have time to upload my party pics, I'll do that tonight and they'll be on the blog by Tuesday at the latest since I'm a lazy bum.

Wednesday and Thursday were longass days for me. Way too long

good..

1. Finally got new XM radio, my Delphi Sky2 or whatever. It's going to be way awesome.
   
2. Dad has a new thing on his trache so he can talk now. Boy he's had a lot to say. None of it very nice.
3. Went to breakfast with Leeanne on Thursday morning, had a cool coupon that saved us like $3-4. It was nice to see a good friend and chill for a bit.
   
4. Even though I slept through it, Amy, Cathy and Sean came over Thursday evening and played my new Monopoly game. I snored through the whole damn thing, no prob though.
   
5. I discovered I had $161 more than I thought in my bank account. I forgot to add in a paycheck from KDFC a few weeks ago. Yes! I won't be overdrawn when I write the rent check next week. Hallelujah!
   

Bad....

1. Ended up working 12 hours on Wednesday night, from 7pm to 7am. Not really complaining, but I was so BORED.
   
2. Haven't gone to the gym all stinking week. I've been so busy with Christmas, helping out my mom, hangin with friends in between and doing something crazy called sleeping. I'm going to seriously attempt to do some cardio this morning after work. Wish me luck on that.
3. On Wednesday/Thursday had a 26 hour day. Yes 26 hours. Woke up at 5pm on Wednesday afternoon, did not go sleepy until after 6pm on Thursday evening. Why you may ask? Read below.
   
4. It took about 4 hours too long to get my XM radio installed. I had an appointment on Thursday afternoon for 12pm at Best Buy. When I arrived they said they were backed up and it would be 3 hours, until 3pm. That was disappointing, but I had lunch at Fresh Choice, then read books at Borders for an hour or two. I came back at 3pm, my car hadn't even been started on. I didn't leave the place until 5pm. By that time I had been up for 24 hours. I took the streets home and got home at like 5:45. I was no happy camper.
   
5. It took 3 tries to activate my radio. The first time it didn't work since I didn't know you had to keep it on Ch. 1 for 15-20 min. I was impatient and probably driving like a drunk woman. The second time I had reset the receiver with the guy from the XM hotline, and drivin the car to work, sitting in the parking lot for an extra 15 min. Still didn't work. I went online to their website and reset it again, and sat in my car for like 30 min freezing. It finally worked, I have my presets and crap all figured out.
   
6. Another thing I'm cranky about is that it's hard to detach the little tuner thing. I don't like it sitting there attracting attenton to people walking by. I'm gonna figure something to do about it, don't worry.
   
7. I'm also cranky since I'm trying to teach my friend the basics of HTML, hotlinking, stealing bandwidth and such and how it's wrong.. she's kinda taking it as if I'm trying to tell her she's stupid. Takin it the wrong way. *sigh*

Friday 12/22- Tuesday 12/2

Good stuff..

1. Christmas was an absolute blast!! Lots of great food, fun, singing songs, great presents. Some included money and a gift card towards my new XM radio (being installed early Thursday afternoon), speakers for my iPod (currently blasting The Godfathers here at work), Monopoly Here And Now, a singing stuffed giraffe, Sesame Street ornaments. Also, giftcards for Borders which I used to buy Little Miss Sunshine, Sesame Street Old School, giftcard for Target I used towards a new desk chair, storage containers, Criminal Minds season 1, and lots of cups. And I got nonwinning lotto scratchers, tons of candy, lots of body lotion and spray, I can go on forever. Oh yeah, two new fleece throw blankets for home, one for couch and one for my bed.
   
2. Had 4 days off from my fulltime job over the weekend. I got 12 hours of sleep on Monday night. Felt fantastic. Now I'm at work tryin to get into the swing of things. Ugh.
   
3. Fun party at my place on Friday night. I had two mudslides and one rum & egg nog. Fattening as hell, but oh so worth it.
   
4. I'm comin in to work 4 hours early later today, gonna make me some OT. Due to my switch in schedule last weekend, my hours are gonna be funky. This will help.
   

Bad stuff....

1. Dad keeps pulling his damn tubes out, like his In-G tube, which goes up his nose and down his throat to his tummy, feeding him. He's a stubborn old fart.
   
2. Pizza at the party on Friday night was fuckin $41 for two larges. What the hell is that? We're not ordering Round Table at the party this week. Chicago Pizza is cheaper, and I have coupons.
   
3. Starting today I'm workin like 10 days in a row since I switched days with the weekend guy. Lord help me.
   
4. My XM radio's gonna cost quite a bit more once I get the FM modulator and actual radio installed.. good thing Mom gave me $100 towards it, as well as Dave's giftcard. Oh and I'm getting a $50 rebate. Yay. Oh well.

Wednesday and Thursday, and what comes ahead this holiday weekend!!!

Good

1. Christmas!!! It doesn't matter whether Dad's still in the hospital or not, I'm going to try to have one awesome weekend. I have the Christmas spirit finally!
2. Saw Aunt Brenda, Uncle Jim and one of our cousins Kim on Thursday evening. It's fun to visit our nice relatives and think about the good ol days.
   
3. Dad was very alert both Wednesday and Thursday. Praise the lord.
   
4. Kim heard the funnyass comment I made about Aunt Becky on Myspace.. she thought it was hilarious.
   
5. I'm off from my tulltime job Friday morning through late Tuesday evening. Four days off straight is like a minivacation. I still am working at KDFC on Saturday and Xmas day, and at KKIQ on Xmas eve. Those are small shifts, so I'm not tripping. Plenty of time for family, food and fun. Oh and alcohol. :)
6. Got a nice nap here at work off and on for 3 hours or so. It wasn't really a nap, but I laid back in the chair, roasted my toes, and listened to the soft holiday music while I ignored my friends constantly IMing me with links to retarded Youtube videos. Haha.
   
7. Having a holiday get together at my place tonight. Pizza and alcohol, good times. I'm gonna torture people with holiday tunes. :)
8. Got some cardio in on Thursday morning. I felt so proud of myself for going to the gym despite my exhaustion and insane schedule. This weekend it's kinda out of the question, no worries. Calories don't count on holidays!!
   

Bad

1. Wednesday turned out to be a 30 hour day for me. I was so exhausted. I only slept 4 hours on Thursday afternoon.
   
2. I refuse to wear shoes/socks unless I have a damn good reason. Thursday I should have used my head. Soaked my feet and got my pants wet walking in the rain to my parents' house. My feet were freezing off and on for like 4 hours until I got home. As soon as I got comfy, I had to leave home and go to work. I roasted my feet at work though.

Good stuff

1. Dad was pretty alert when I saw him both days. Slightly drowsy, but awake. Good sign.
   
2. They left a "New York" deli sandwich for me in the fridge. I may eat it a bit later this morning, I already had scrambled eggs and tomato soup for dinner and chocolate silk pie for dessert.(Yes I know it's evil but hey mom gave me a slice, I can't resist dessert.)
   
3. My cousin Terry messaged me on Myspace and agreed that Aunt Becky is pretty damn scary, she has to spend Xmas with her. Thank god for alcohol. Hahaha.
   
4. Actually went to the gym Tuesday morning and got some cardio done. I feel so much better about myself when I exercise.
   
5. 5 days until Christmas!! Yay!!!
   

Bad stuff

1. Woke up really late on Monday night, barely had time to shower, had to eat a Healthy Choice meatloaf dinner at work.
   
2. My second fave bra broke on Monday night. Now I'm wearing my sucky one until my other is out of the laundry. That's on my list of shit to buy after Xmas. (I have a list of stuff I want/need, but wanna wait to see what gift cards and such I receive.)
3. Manny still owes me money for previous gym payments I've made since May when we broke up. I emailed him and will continue harassing him until I get the dough. He's up to $232 now. When we were goin out he nagged me about getting the money my friend Mike owed me. Well now he owes me himself, that fucker. (Note to self: Never sign contracts together until you are married!!!)
   

Things are lookin up...

My weekend..

1. Dad was pretty alert on Sunday evening and let me give him a kiss on the cheek. Something I haven't done in like 20 years or so.
   
2. Got snookered on Saturday night at the Iron Horse with Cathy, Amy, TJ and Dave off 2 mudslides (in a one hour period, LOL). Almost fell off the barstool and almost peed in the men's bathroom. All in all a good night.
   
3. Went shopping with Davina and Shuki (Davina's mom) on Friday night at Bayfair, had a great time, bought some shirts and makeup for myself.
   
4. Went to Carrows with Mom and Cathy on Sunday night, had some awesome chicken and mushroom thing with veggies and rice (well the rice is better then mashed potatoes, LOL).
   

Bad...

1. I feel like I'm getting nowhere on my diet/exercise thing. Probably because I've been so busy helping out with my Dad in the hospital and such. I just haven't had time to go to the gym much. Twice a week if I'm lucky enough.
   
2. Cathy yelled at me on Saturday night. She was giving me directions on pushing Mom's wheelchair and I almost tipped Mom over. It's funny now that I think about it, but Cathy really made me feel bad. Boo. I'm over it though.
   
3. I was bad Sunday morning at KKIQ. They had lemon bars and cookies left over from the holiday party so I had a little yummy snack along with some hot cocoa. Sorry, I can't resist cookies or lemon bars.

Things seem to be getting better with Dad. Yesterday he was sitting in a chair and was very awake. He tried to talk but couldn't, and was making faces at all of us. It was very delightful. They are testing him for turberculosis, we should know the results when we come in the visit this morning. We are hoping he doesn't have it, since it sucks. It seems like he's one step forward, two steps back. *sigh*

Wednesday was the same old grind. I went to go see Dad at his new hospital, but his roommate was having dialysis so we couldn't visit. Michelle got pissed at me since I couldn't come back at noon to see him. I had to get up at 5pm to shower and make dinner before working a 12 hour shift that night. She's so selfish. Laying on the guilt trip. Bad enough Cathy and I have no lives.. we work, sleep, and take people to see Dad or run errands, that's it. *sigh*

Thursday was pretty much the same thing. I had worked 12 hours the night before so I was tired, but took the gang to see Dad anyway. I'm glad he was alert and stuff though. Then we went grocery shopping, and stopped at Longs to pick up my moms' prescriptions. I got Turbo a new kittytoy, and picked up some Mudslide mix and Rum.. so tonight I'll have fun. Originally I was supposed to go to a party with Cathy, but Michelle has to work and someone has to be around in case my mom needs something. So I'm staying home and getting drunk, if she needs something I can stumble down the street and help. Haha.

Today I feel like writing in purple. The holidays are upon us, and I am one busy woman.

Monday I got home from work and cleaned my house from top to bottom, then took Mom and Michelle to see Dad. I finally got to go to bed at like 11am and got up at 6pm. Cathy and I then went to Stoneridge. I looked around at Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret, then we went home. I napped for an hour before work. Oh yeah, they moved my dad to a different hospital now. He's now at Kindred Hospital here in San Leandro. It's smaller and more focused on respratory and physical therapy. If he improves in 3-4 weeks he may come home.

Tuesday I hit the gym in the morning and did my cardio. I would have done some strength training but my stomach was hurting since I hadn't eaten in 4 hours.. so I went home and had some Cheerios. Then I took Mom and Michelle to visit Dad once again. I finally went to bed at 11am, and slept all the way to 9pm. WOW. Guess my body needed it. I got up and made some grilled chicken and cooked broccoli/cauliflower and brought it to work with the rest of my food. This morning my Uncle Jim S. said something mean to me. This is why I don't like much of my family. We were talking about losing weight (he's like 6'1" and 250-275), and I said I went to the gym about 2-3 times a week and did cardio/weights. He was like "you need to lay off the cream puffs honey, don't look like it's working for ya." That just really made my day. *sigh*

What it's all about

I didn't get much sleep at all weekend. Ugh. I'm tryin to make up for it now, sitting here half awake at 1:30am. tryin to stay awake. Friday I worked 11am to 3pm at KDFC, then went to dinner at Dennys with Mom, Michelle, Cathy and TJ. Then we visited my dad, and Cathy, TJ and I hung out. Saturday morning I worked at KDFC, and later that day I went to visit my Dad. Do you see a pattern?

I bought a new book called "What The Bible Is All About" by Dr. Henrietta C. Mears. I hear it's a great study guide. I think getting back into bible study will help me understand it better.

TGIF

Like dude I'm totally writing in blue now. Far out, huh? Okay yeah I'm weird. Anywhoo.....

Life is okay. I always seem to use that same intro, but I'm very unoriginal I guess. Wednesday morning I went to the gym, visited Dad yet again with Mom and Michelle, then got to go home and sleep. I got up at 4pm since we had a dinner at Applebees for us work folks. It was some pretty good grub. I'll share a pic in a moment. When I got home from dinner, I got surprised to find Cathy, Amy and TJ in my house kickin it watchin TV. They scared the crap outta me. Then I came to work, and everyone knows just how exciting work can be for me.

Thursday I again visited Dad. He's out of the ICU and in a regular room now. Thank god. He seems more aware, and is getting physical therapy daily. It's taking small steps, but he's getting better. I slept until about 5:30 when Davina came over to use my computer, then did some dishes and folded some laundry. Then I took a shower and made some beef and barley soup with scrambled eggs for dinner. It was nice and filling. I watched more TV and ended up napping for about an hour before getting up for work. And here I am at work again. TGIF! I'm workin at KDFC from 11a-3p this morning, but I'm off tonight so I know I'll be sleeping eventually. Plus I need the dinero mucho!

I get bored easily

The last few days have been pretty okay I guess. I kinda miss being able to go to bed at 8 or 9am, and get up at 4 or 5pm. Going to bed between 11am and noon sucks booty. I'm getting up at 8pm so I'm getting sleep, but I feel I'm wasting my whole day. *sigh*

Monday I cleaned my house from top to bottom, then took Mom and Stinky to visit Dad. Afterwards we went by the bank and Longs, and I finally got home to sleep. Tuesday I farted around on photoshop a bit, then took Mom and Stinky to visit Dad again. Afterwards we did grocery shopping, which I am very thankful for. I had the basics at home for dinners, but I had no fresh veggies or fruit, no granola bars, etc. I'm glad I got to stock up. I got up at 8pm, took a shower, made cube steak and veggies for dinner, and then got ready for work. Hooray. Tommorrow is a dinner at Applebees with coworkers, least I'll get free dinner. Haha. Busy, very busy

This past weekend was pretty darn normal. Dad's still in the hospital. He's a lot more alert and cranky, but if I were stuck in a bed like that for weeks, I'd be cranky too.

Friday I took Mom and Michelle to visit Dad, then I finally got to go home and sleep. I slept until about 5:30pm, then went to go visit Dad again. Then I went home and showered, went to Carrows with Cathy and Amy, and drove around a bit. I finally went home and fell asleep watching TV.

Saturday I worked at KDFC. Mr. A-hole was there, but he was surprisingly civil. Maybe he's actually acting Christian, since he claims to be one. My shift went smoothly though. A few technical probs, but nothing I couldn't handle. After I got back to San Leandro I picked up Michelle and Mom and went to Newpark Mall to finish Xmas shopping. I got all my shopping done except one gift for Fern and Grace, and I can pick that up next week at Safeway, no biggie. Don't worry, I'm 99.9% sure they don't read my blog. Traffic on the way back was INSANE. The freeway wasn't moving so we decided to take the streets. Even worse. Took 2 hours to get from Newark to the hospital in San Leandro. I got to torture my passengers with my music, but Mom had bad gas so she tortured me a lot more.

Sunday I worked at KKIQ in the morning as usual. I had a pretty good airshift. I think I'm improving quite a lot. Too bad not too many folks call in for my contests, oh well. A while later I dropped off Michelle at work, went to the bank, then worked out at the gym. I got 40 min on the treadmill and some work on my abs done. I think that's pretty good. I went home and took a nap, and got up to make grilled chicken and mixed veggies for dinner. After lounging around and watching Cops and Full House, I finally headed to work. Here I am mailing out a few Xmas cards, those friends/relatives with addresses I remember. I have to ask everyone via email what their addresses are again. Yay.

Things are still frantic and busy in life. Wednesday night I went to Hooters to help Michael celebrate his 25th bday. Fernando didn't want to come, and he's Michael's twin. He has good reason though. The food there is pretty shitty and its just tits and ass. Fernando's married, so yeah.. LOL. I arrived late since I waited an hour for Cathy to pick me up and I got a text from her at 8:30 telling me "I'll meet you there." I found out later she was doin the nasty with her boyfriend, and was takin a while. Ewwwww.

She eventually showed up when we were at Michael's house later on in the evening. I brought him home safely, he had about 5 drinks there at the resturant. I took some pics.

Yesterday I slept off and on when I could. I had a meeting with my boss in SF, which went exceptionally well. I am held in very high regard, hopefully I get a raise out of this. I slept a while at home, then went with Cathy and Mom to see Dad, stopping at Taco Bell and Starbucks on the way. Yes I'm going to diet hell, thank you for noticing. I've been good lately, so whatever. Later at home I napped while Cathy came over and checked her email. I tortured her with Michael McDonald until she couldnt take it anymore and left at 10pm. Then I came to work. The end.

Dad was a lot better yesterday, it seemed. He was farting and it smelled, if that's a good sign. He was also pretty alert and looked like he wanted to talk a lot. Poor guy. A few more days on the respirator and he should be doin fine. In the waiting room a group of nice Hispanic ladies all prayed with me for my dad and my family. Their son/grandson is also in ICU, he got in a car accident in late October and was in a coma. He has lots of brain damage but he's a lot better then he was a month ago. It's amazing what prayer can do.

My week is getting busier by the second, I swear. After work I'm hitting the gym, then taking Mom and Michelle to visit Dad again. I finally get to go to bed at like 11am, then up at 6pm. Michael/Fernando's bday party at Hooters is at 7:30, Michael just told me about it earlier tonight. Thank god I got them gift cards. I'm hoping Cathy is attending, but since she and Michael don't always get along, I dunno. I'll even pay for her dinner if she wants, I don't care. Thursday afternoon I have a meeting with my boss at KDFC at like 2pm. If I take Mom to go see Dad again, that means I'm not goin to bed until like 4pm and getting up at 9:30.. or I could just shower before meeting with my boss.. and get up at 10:15pm on Thurs.. maybe that will work.

Life is just too crazy. Oh yeah today my dad flashed me. I saw way too much. I hope I don't turn gay.

a bit frantic

Dad seems to be getting better each day. Yesterday I visited in the morning but he was asleep. The TV was on so I guess he was watching it earlier. That's a very good sign. In a day or so he may be able to be weened off the respirator. The day before yesterday he was conscious and knew what was goin on, waving at us. He's making progress for sure.

In other parts of my life, things are okay. Sunday I worked at KKIQ, then visited Dad. Then I finally got to get sleep, then went to work. Monday morning I cleaned my house as usual, then took Mom and Michelle to see Dad. Afterwards I went home and slept. I had to get up at 4:30 so I could go to my parents' house to warm up Mom's dinner and get her insulin, since no one else was home. Michelle was at work and Cathy was at the chiropractor. Then I went back to bed. I got up at 7pm and took a shower, then made steak and steamed green beans for dinner. Cathy and Amy came over around 8:30 and left before 10, those fuckers. I took a nap from 10 until about 10:30, then came to work.

It looks the rest of this week/next week are gonna be kinda crazy. I'll be taking Mom to see Dad in the mornings, but probably not everyday. Later this week probably Friday I have an evaluation with my boss in SF, and either this week or next I'm taking Noelle to get her wisdom teeth out.
