I'm gonna miss you Turbie

  • Well, the inevitable has happened. Poor Turbo is in a better place now. The vet said his condition was actually getting worse. His kidneys were starting to give out, and the circulation to even his front paws was going. When I went to visit and say goodbye his front paws were cold and turning purple. He was having more trouble breathing too. He wouldn't have been able to walk or go to the bathroom on his own again. He was in a lot of pain. I made the toughest decision I've ever made in my life and let him go. It was so hard, but I know he's with all the other kitties and doggies and Jesus. Someday I'll see him again.. someday.

I will always love you Turbokitty.. forever and ever and ever.

please pray for Turbo

  • It's crazy how a person's life can turn upside down in an instant. As of right now, my cat Turbo is extremely ill. It started yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) when I noticed he was throwing up and lethargic. I just thought he ate something that didn't agree with him, and that he'd feel better by this morning. Well later on in the evening Cathy was over, and she noticed that when Turby got up to move, his legs wouldn't move. He was paralyzed. That's when she woke me up and we took him to the emergency vet. The prognosis is not good at all. Turbo has a heart murmur, and he threw a blood clot to his spine. So he can't walk anymore. They are doing the best they can, he's on oxygen, an IV, the whole shabang. Later today they're going to do one of those electrocardiogram things and hopefully start him on some heparin to thin out his blood, hopefully get rid of the clot. The doctor told me honestly that most cats don't pull through. I don't care at this point, I'm not giving up on Turbo yet. He's only 3 1/2 years old. I also had no fathom that he had a heart defect, he goes to the vet for regular checkups and no one told me a thing. Right now I'm in shock, and I feel like crap. Turbo is more important to me than whether or not I feel shitty. So please people, pray for Turbo.
  • I'm still going on with my routine, obviously. Since I'm typing this from work. Gotta go to Walmart and buy groceries in the morning and start some laundry. Since I've been through enough crises with people in hospitals and other semi-morbid things, I've learned its best to stay busy and go on with your normal routine. This keeps the mind off of things and helps you not become some comatose crying freak.
  • Oh yes, still don't have my cable/internet at the new place yet. I have to get written permission from my roomie's dad (who we're renting from) so that they can drill a hole in his wall and run the wire through the house. Oh the joy. So at least another week or so before I get my beloved Food Network back.
  • Well thanks everyone for the concern and prayers so far, and please keep praying for Turbo. I love him so much, he's my best friend.

BBQ jumbo shrimp motherfu*&er

Boy am I bushed. I had a pretty good weekend, but I am EXHAUSTED, yo. Let's see, Friday morning I went walking, then came home and did a little more housework. Friday evening I took Michelle to Claimjumpers, one of my favorite resturaunts in Fremont. Yes it had an hour wait, but it's so worth it. HUGE PORTIONS. Yummy yum yum!! Then I came home and went to bed like an old lady since I had to work the next morning. Saturday I did my airshift at KDFC, came home and did a bit of cleaning and watched a few movies. Then I went to El Torito with Cathy and TJ. Very yummy, I love mexican food as many of you know. Sunday I worked at KKIQ, a bit longer than anticipated. Usually I'm there from 6am to noon, on air from 6-8am and again from 10am to noon. (Fox All Access is from 8-10am, prerecorded for those of you that don't know) Anyway, Kanya had requested the day off and since someone forgot to do voicetracks for her shift.. I voicetracked and was on air again from 1-6pm.. so I was on for like 9 hours yesterday. So awesome. So weird driving and listening to myself on the radio too. Surreal. So I finally left the station around 2:30pm and went home to wait for my bed to be delivered. I gave up at 4:30 and let my roommate wait for it, since my parents and Michelle needed me to take them on errands. My bed was delivered.. about 30 minutes late but those folks are busy. God I love my new bed. Oh so comfy. Oh and I saw 2 Jeff Goldblum movies today. Watched Hideaway at KKIQ this morning, kinda creepy the way him and Jeremy Sisto were telepathically connected. Any scene with Jeff stabbing some woman is freaky. Then when I got home after my errands, Tj and Cathy were watching Deep Cover again.. "BBQ jumbo shrimp, you motherfucker!!!" Okay pardon my french, but that line is hilarious and random. Lots of sex and violence and a Dr Dre/Snoop Dogg soundtrack.. so what do you expect? That movie's so hella 90s. In fact both movies I saw today were hella 90s. In Hideaway Jeff had some gayass sweaters going on. I'm digressing. All in all, good weekend.

Jeff in his gay 90s sweater, with Christine Lahti. Whatever happened to her after Chicago Hope? Hmmm.

life is thrilling

  • Weekend time again! Not a whole lot of excitement planned, just working parttime, lots of cleaning/unpacking, and hopefully some relaxation. I've been busy the last few days as usual, no shocker there. Let's see on Wednesday morning I finally got back to the gym, went home and had breakfast, took mom to the doctor, then Walmart, then did grocery shopping for the week. Thursday morning I went walking at the marina again, home for breakfast, dropped off Michelle and got my teeth cleaned at the dentist. The new hygenist was excited when I told her I was a DJ on KKIQ, they were playing it there. So weird to listen to my PD while having my mouth worked on.. haha. After that I went home and finished organizing my room, at least for now. Once I move to my permanent bedroom I'll have more space to put my stuff. Then I watched Deep Cover with my boyfriend Jeff Goldblum and Laurence Fishburne. Jeffy was a bad boy, sleeping with hoes, snorting coke and killing people. Larry killed him at the end anyway. Bad Jeff. He looks hot as a badass, but due to frightening dreams I'd rather see his bad acting in Cats and Dogs. LOL

busy busy busy

  • Hey there again, folks. I've been keeping busy, as always. Working, running errands, hanging out with pals, catching up with old pals, trying to squeeze in housework/unpacking and sleep. Let's see on Monday I did about 30 min of housework, then went to the breakfast at 5th Wheel with Davina, boy was it yummy. I was bad and had french toast, so delicious. Then I ran errands with my folks, came home and collasped into bed. Got 8 1/2 hrs of sleep that day, though. Tuesday morning I had plans of going walking, but I actually ended up having more fun keeping Leeanne entertained. We went to breakfast at IHOP in Dublin, and we then went back to San Lorenzo/Hayward/San Leandro for like 6 hours.. LOL. Got my car detailed at Hutch's, and then we went to Chabot and visited our buddy old pal Chad Mark Glen at the radio station. They moved it and it's coming together nicely. About damn time!!! But yeah it was fun catching up with our favorite Mass Comm instructor. And I saw my homeboy Bernard, oh and Carlos who used to be the NARC at San Leandro High and security at Costco. Guess he's in school now too. Oh the fun. After that bit of fun I showed Leeanne my new place. It's still in disarray, but hello I just moved in. She loves Mr. Turby. After that we went to Rasputins and went apeshit in there.. both Leeanne and I should not be allowed in music stores, especially her.. (just kidding, kind of). Then we went to Jamba Juice and Target. Can you believe neither Rasputins or Target had Earth Girls Are Easy? How sad. Well I'll buy it on Half.com or something, I've got enough Jeff Goldblum movies coming anyway.
  • My plans for this morning are taking mom to Walmart and the doctor, then doing grocery shopping. I should be home by like noon at the latest, and I'll do a bit more housework before bed. The fun just never ends, does it?
  • Oh yes and I started watching Cats and Dogs with my Jeffy in it, it was only $5 and he's so cheesy since it's a family film..

Hooray!!!!!

  • Well, I'm officially a resident of San Lorenzo again. I am now moved. Now I've just gotta finish the long process of cleaning, and organizing, and unpacking. My arms and back hurt like hell, but heavy lifting and stress can do that to ya. I'd like to thank the best friends ever to walk this earth.. Fernando for giving me a bootyload of boxes at the last minute, and helping TJ out with heavy furniture .. Grace for coming over and helping me with mopping the old place, and getting those giant pizzas and beer... Cathy for helping all weekend long with stuff, especially hanging up all the clothes in my closet and the iced mocha she brought me yesterday afternoon... and of course TJ for doing way too much hauling and lifting, and getting things off of tall shelves. Get used to it buddy, your roommate is a midget. So yeah I'm so glad the hardest part of my transition is over.. oh boy.
  • Aside from that, Friday night was Noelle's bday party. It was pretty fun. We played the game where you kneel on a chair and drop clothespins in the jar.. I did pretty good if I say so myself. We also did karaoke, and that was awesome. I did some B52s, Kool and the Gang, Villiage People, so jammin. I'll have some videos up probably next weekend, once I get my cable/internet hooked up at my new place. Oh and we had catered mexican food from La Pinata, and 2 cakes, and ice cream. Oh my god it was heaven. YUM!!
  • And, I worked at my parttime jobs too. KDFC was pretty normal, and KKIQ was lots of fun, as it always is. Getting paid to talk is always a bonus, even if the internet connection in the studio takes a crap and you have to get the weather/traffic from the newsroom next door. :)

whoo weekend

  • Hooray the weekend is upon us. This is gonna be one doozy of a weekend, due to the big moving day on Saturday. I have anywhere from 2-4 volunteers, depending on who shows up. This will be interesting, I promise you. I still will be doing my part-time gigs on top of moving, that's how insane I am. I'm also attending Noelle's bday party tonight and possibly hanging out with Mikey. Sunday I'll be doing my airshift at KKIQ and cleaning my old place (well cleaning as much as I can, anyway. Not expecting miracles) I also have A LOT of laundry to do, probably won't even start it until Monday morning at my new place. Oh the fun.
  • I got more packing done tonight. Packed all of my nonperishable food, and all of my dishes. I'm probably unplugging the TV and computer, etc tonight before I go to bed. I want everything ready to go on Saturday afternoon. I guess I'm too organized/systematic, but that's how my personality is, I always have a plan.
  • Other than my moving excitement, life is the same. I'm still fat, my parents are still hanging in there and I'm still taking them places all the time. I'm still working 3 jobs and I still have an unnatural obsession with Jeff Goldblum. That's life in a nutshell. Next time you hear from me, I'll be an official resident of San Lorenzo once again. (I lived there 9/03 - 9/05 in case you guys didn't know that) Hooray!

I like crap! I love crap! I need crap!

  • Well here I am on an early Monday morning jammin to Michael McDonald and blogging. Boy am I pooped. I've been up since 4:30am yesterday not counting my one hour nap in the afternoon. My weekend was pretty routine. I got A LOT of boxes moved to the new place, at least 2 vanloads. And a vanload of stuff got dropped off at the Salvation Army. I will be moving the last of my stuff + my furniture this Saturday. Yay.
  • What else has been going on? Not a whole lot, really. Saturday I worked at KDFC and then did a lot of loading/unloading crap in my parents' van. Then I went home for a Goldblumathon, but Cathy convinced me to meet her at the Iron Horse for a few drinks (I already had started one there at home, but after all that moving I felt I needed it). I had a few more drinks there at the bar, some drunk guy bought em for me. Then he kissed me. Okay he was drunk and I was the only one in there with boobies who was single. Still, least I have something interesting to put on Myspace surveys now. Sunday I did my airshift at KKIQ (good one I might add), hit the gym, and moved even more boxes to the new place. Then I took a small nap, and took the family to dinner. Then I took Michelle with me to Target. Oh the fun. So yeah I'm a bit tired.
  • On another note.. I have to share this clip.. this is one of my favorite movies ever, simply because it's so retarded. LMAO

im weird

  • TGIF folks. I am so glad it's the weekend. Ok so my weekend will be a bit busy, it's getting to be crunch time, only a week or so left to move all my crap. I'm almost done conquering the closet. I don't want to pack ALL my clothes just yet, same as with food, dishes, toiletries, blah blah. I really need to get a vanload of crap over the Goodwill or St. Vincent De Paul or something though. I swear I have like 15-20 bags of stuff taking over my place. I want to give away my bed too but first I need to buy a new one and get it to my new place. So yeah I'm stressing about the little details just a bit. Oh well, least I have 80s Jeff Goldblum movies to keep me happy. Haha. He was so cute in The Tall Guy.
  • Oh yah, wanna know something funny? Last Friday while at the Grape Festival I signed up with one of these talent agency things just to be spontaneous. I got a call back on Wednesday for some audition in Sacramento, but I had to work in San Fran that evening. Damn man, bad timing. Who knows, when they call back I can at least go in, maybe get a hookup on some headshots or something. Funky Fresh Lisa S., coming to a theater near you. LMAO
  • Other than that, nothing truly thrilling going on. I did go walking yesterday, and I plan on going this morning as well. Gotta take my dad to the doctor too. I swear I need a chauffer hat, dude.

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

and so it goes....

  • Happy hump day folks. Nothing too exciting going on that I didn't mention a few days ago. I've been busy working and packing, and catching up on sleep in between. I worked in San Fran earlier tonight, and I'm working there again tomorrow evening. Extra hours don't hurt, and they need someone to man the board for the live symphony broadcast and Dane's busy. So it's me. As long as the jocks actually pay attention and listen when I count them down, everything should be fine. When they're too busy schmoozing and miss their cue, yeah it can sound bad.
  • This morning my exciting plans include grocery shopping and then going home for sleepytime. Thrilling, yes I know. Thursday I will probably go walking at the marina again and work more on packing, that's my main goal since I have like a little under 2 weeks left. Oh yeah, I had a dream that Jeff Goldblum was on Empty Nest instead of Richard Mulligan and I played the nurse lady. LMAO. Those store brand Golden Grahams gave me a sugary acid trip or something.. haha.

Monday, September 17, 2007

last weekend was jammin!

  • Had a great weekend. Friday I did the Grape Festival with Kimmie in Lodi. I ate so much crap, it was great. Cheeseburger, snickers-flavored iced mocha, funnel cake, and chocolate/vanilla softserve on a waffle cone. Oh the yummy goodness. We met some clown who resembles George W. Bush and a giant parrot. We also took interesting footage asking survey questions.. which will be revealed once the little documentary is done.. haha. All in all a great time. Saturday I worked in San Fran, then took a vanload of stuff to my new place. I have T-minus 2 weeks until I need to be outta there, so the more I move, the happier I am. I think I'll try to conquer my closet later this afternoon. Sunday I did my airshift at KKIQ (a pretty good one I may add), went to the gym, then home for just a little more housework. I'm going to be moving hella boxes/furniture in the next few weeks so I find no reason to mop the floor if it's going to be messy again anyway. Am I wrong to think this way? Plus I have like 10 bags of crap for Goodwill in the middle of the floor, kinda hard to move and mop around it.
  • I did go to the gym yesterday which is awesome. I plan on walking at the marina with Michelle after work today, and hopefully Thursday and Friday. I'm working a few extra shifts in San Fran on Tues/Wed evenings this week so I'll be kinda busy. The next few weeks will be really crazy.

Okay here's a video of Kimmie and I doing flashdance on Friday night. I get really scary when consuming sugar/caffeine.

when will it end?

  • Yay the weekend is upon us again. My weekend will be busy, as usual. Friday I'm going to be in Lodi for the Grape Festival with Kimmie and her niece Joyce. I'll be pooped, but it'll be a blast. Saturday I'm doing my shift at KDFC, and I need to move lots of boxes to the new place. I'm hoping to actually get enough sleep on Saturday night, praying that my landlord isn't partying again. Keep your fingers crossed, people. Sunday I have my airshift @ KKIQ, hopefully working out at the gym afterward and a little housework. Then a nice long nap. I need more sleep. Especially since my favorite time of the month is here. I'm not in the best of moods.
  • Here's another reason I'm not in a good mood. I keep getting more bills from my stupid emergency room visit last month. Hospital billed me over $1400 originally, but due to discounts and my work coverage, I'm only paying a little over a hundred. Praise god. Then I got a bill for $350 from the emergency room doctor himself. The douche who said "Well maybe if you slim down your cramps won't be as severe." I believe I answered with "I've been trying to slim down but my hormones won't let me DAMMIT!!!" then he left the room. I was kinda out of it but that's pretty much what I told the guy. Moving on.. got another $50 bill from the pathologist who ran my blood work. When will the billing end? If you don't have insurance, you get screwed every which way but Sunday. I'm so glad my work covers a good chunk of it, but it still sucks.
  • Other than that, life is just peachy. Had a work dinner meeting at El Torito earlier tonight, and boy was it tasty. I was chowin down. Do I care if I was stuffing my face while my boss was talking forever? Nope. I'll post some pics next week, I need to email some out, and I'm sure I'll get pics from Victoria and Jon soon. I'm still stressed in the middle of this moving thing. Packing actually isn't too hard at all, I have maybe 70% of it done. I just need to get all my stinkin furniture moved in the next 2 weeks or so. Things will work out, it's just a tiring and stressful process.

Wednesday, September 12, 2007

i dont make any sense.

  • Nothing too exciting to talk or complain about. I've been pretty busy lately with life, working a lot. Helping run errands with my folks. Moving boxes over to my new place. I went walking yesterday morning, I'm hoping to go today and Thursday too. Friday I'm not getting much sleep since I'm heading off to Lodi in the afternoon, so no exercise that day. I should be moving more boxes over to San Lorenzo tonight, I'm hoping to borrow my folks' van. I'm also going to take my folks to Dennys, I'm told. Coolness. Thursday night we're having a work dinner/meeting thing at El Torito. Free food= yay. This blog is not making sense, I apologize. Guess I'm just scatterbrained, since there's so much going on. Oh yeah, saw some Faery Tale Theater thing on Youtube with Jeff Goldblum as the Big Bad Wolf.. it's great.. LMAO. And the one with Howard Hesseman looking like the Burger King mascot, that's just grand. I love Youtube.

i hate parties

  • As always let me begin this with "Dude, I'm tired." Been up since 4:30am yesterday, not counting half dozing here at work the past 3 hours or so. I'm working a 12 hour shift and going home to do a little housework, so I won't be in sleepyland until about 1pm. Oh yes, and I'm guessing due to stress and an abundance of hormones, my face is breaking out. Oh the joy.
  • I did have a good weekend, though. For the most part. Friday night I went to Baker's Square with Michelle and did a little more DVD shopping at Rasputins. Got Transylvania 6-5000 and Powder. The first was SO CHEESY!!! Saturday I worked at KDFC, then came home and did packing/cleaning for a few hours, and had another movie marathon. I also had the pleasant surprise of finding out my landlord was having yet another party. This time at least three kids (teenage boys actually) tried to get in my place. Even me slamming the door in their faces and locking it wasn't effective since they kept knocking and turning the handle. So damn rude. That and the loud salsa music blaring forever, with random laughing made it virtually impossible to fall asleep. I ended up blasting the classical station on my digital cable almost full blast to drown em out. When I left the house at 5am Sunday morning, the party was still going on. What the hell? Now you see why I want to move. I did my airshift at KKIQ that morning, then went to Kimmie's for a 7 hour bad movie marathon. We watched Return To Oz, Transylvania 6-5000, Mannequin, and Harry and the Hendersons. What a selection. I barely got here in time from Lodi due to stupid traffic in Stockton. Boo. So my weekend was fun, but I hate my landlord right now. The End.

Thursday, September 06, 2007

hahaha

  • I'm so glad it's the weekend, lemme tell ya. Maybe I'll get more sleep. I kinda got enough sleep yesterday. Had to go to a jock meeting (free pizza for lunch and 1 1/2 hrs pay!) and by the time I got home and went back to sleep it was like 2pm. I ended up getting about 7 hours total, between the morning and afternoon. I'm not nearly as stressed out as I was a few days ago. Things are starting to come together.
  • This weekend should be fun though. Tonight I have no idea what I'm doing, hopefully it involves sleep. I got my new license plate and registration, I need to borrow Cathy so she can put it on my car sometime in the next few days. I'm not too handy with tools. Saturday morning I'm working at KDFC and then I'm going to be moving some things, so I'll be busy. Sunday I'm working at KKIQ then hangin out with Kimmie in Lodi for the afternoon. Sunday night I'm working 12 hours at Family Radio, and by 11am on Monday, I'll be very pooped. Whoo my schedule's a bit cramped. Just slightly.

This is for you Cathy...

Oooooh baby. Hahahahaha!!!!!!

I am hardcore

  • I am just beyond tired right now. It's so hard to sleep at home. I run errands for my folks and often don't get into bed until noon, and by 4pm there are screaming kids outside my door while I sleep. Well try to sleep anyway. I'm leading myself down the path to another almost breakdown. I won't let it happen, though. In about a month, I'll be living somewhere else. Not too far away from where I am now. I'll still be helping out my parents with errands in the mornings, working the same hours, blah blah. I just need a place where I can actually get sleep, more than 4 hours at a time. I'll have one respectful roommate, who won't be screaming outside my bedroom door at 4pm or having wild parties on the weekends when I'm actually home. Moving is always stressful as we all know, but it'll be worth it when I can actually sleep. It'll also be nice to have more than one room, and not have a washer/dryer in my bedroom/living room/kitchen/you get the idea. Now to a few of you this is a surprise, but oh well I don't like telling everyone everything. I'm at my breaking point where it's either move or go insane.
  • I haven't really exercised much since Sunday afternoon, but I've been busy working and such. Gotta do groceries in the morning after work then my mom needs to see the doctor, she's sick. Then I'm maybe doing lunch with Lorie. I'm hoping to make it to the marina to go walking tomorrow and Friday morning for sure. I was going to work a 12 hr shift Wed nite/Thurs morning but that got canceled. See how complicated my schedule can be?
  • Wanna know something else? I actually look forward to work. So I can forget about my stressful life for 8 hours, and have some peace and quiet. Maybe I'm asking for too much in life. I'm not asking God to give me perfection, that doesn't exist. I'd just like to be able to work, help out my folks, and go home and sleep. That is sleep 7-8 hours. Not sleep a few hours and be awakened by screaming children and hammering outside. And like 5 phone calls. And my older sister coming over to bring me cucumbers. I've got to think about it like this, God doesn't give us what we want, he gives us what we need, what we can handle. Apparently I'm hardcore since I'm handling this much shit.

Dr. Sexypants.. hahaha

  • Boy am I pooped. It's just one of those long weekends. Okay for most people that is a good thing. For me, it means lots of work. Holidays = more shifts. I picked up an extra shift in San Fran later today from 11am-5pm, then I'm going to dinner with Davina and Lorie, who I haven't seen in forever. So when am I sleeping? I may half doze here for a few hours, then sleep a few hours at home after work, then maybe a few hours in the evening. This time tomorrow I will be exhausted. Oh well, I do need the dough.
  • I did have a good weekend, it's just been busy. Friday night I bought a few crappy movies at Rasputins, and watched Jurassic Park: The Lost World since it has Jeff Goldblum and I'm on a Jeff Goldblum kick lately. Why, I'm not sure. Saturday morning I worked @ KDFC, then home for an hour or so before Noelle picked me up to go to Family Values. That was a rock concert featuring Korn and Evanescence. Luckily Noelle drove and had VIP parking (very worth the $20). I will have pics up in the next few days, right now I'm pressed for time so they'll have to wait a while. So I got home from the concert around midnight, but my landlord was having a FAT party for his 5 year old's bday, lots of music, food and LOUD people. Right outside my bedroom door. *sigh* I did fall asleep miraculously, and got 4 hours sleep. Sunday morning I did my airshift at KKIQ (had to be there before 6am), then went to the gym, and home to do housework. After that I took my parents on errands to OSH, Big 5, and Walmart. Got home around 5ish and of course my landlord was partying again. I managed to mentally block out the loud music and screaming children and sleep for 4 more hours before getting up and making dinner. So here I am at work, kinda tired. Tired is my word of the week.

just takin it easy

  • I am SOOOO tired right now. Yes I love hot weather, but not when I'm trying to sleep in the middle of the day. I didn't get to bed until noon yesterday since I was walking at the marina, picking up my presciption at Longs, buying groceries, buying another fan for my mother, and making a Starbucks run. I woke up around 5 and TJ came over, we had stuff to discuss. Then TJ, Cathy and I ended up going to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (hella good, FYI). Then I got home, showered, and tried to go back to sleep for a few more hours. Wasn't happening. My place is like a sauna, as some of you know. Ugh. I'm supposed to go to a jock meeting in the morning, but if I'm still pooped I may just skip. I'm the only weekender who goes anyway. Though I would miss the one hour of pay and free lunch. I'll see how I'm feeling. I have to run by the bank and get gas after work but hopefully I'll be in bed by 8am.
  • My health is okay I guess. No more horrendous woman problems, those are done for at least 3 weeks or so.. haha. I do have awful allergies so I've spent the last 3 days honking my nose. Yesterday I had terrible post-nasal drip and ended up puking in the shower. Thought I'd share. That and I almost puked while we were out at dinner. I'm feeling so exhausted and shaky right now from lack of sleep it's not even funny. I swear I'm not a hypochondriac, but my body just doesn't like me lately. I think I need to SLOW DOWN on things a bit.. God's been giving me hints.. obviously.
  • Oh yeah, and I apologize for doing like 12 surveys last night. I was catching up from the weekend, and hey my job is boring. Haha.

Tuesday, August 28, 2007

guess who's back, back again

  • Yes I am back.. better than ever. In case you don't know.. no I didn't go to L.A. this last weekend. I fell ill on Thursday and spent 7 hours in the San Leandro Hospital ER. Now I won't go on about details of why I was there. Let's just say it was woman issues, I was in lots of pain and lost a substantial amount of blood. Enough to go into shock. A few good things came out of this. I lost 5 lbs over the weekend, and my blood pressure is much lower. I could go on about where I got poked/prodded, and how much it hurt, but that's too much for my male readers. Haha.
  • I am disappointed that I didn't go to SoCal, but I figure God does stuff for a reason. I got a lot of rest, I'll tell you that. And I'm sick of Dukes of Hazzard, Sunset Tan and MTV's Making The Band with grown 20 something ghettofabulous men crying when they don't make the cut. I also watched Beethoven's 3rd, 4th and 5th. A lot of Judge Reinhold. Oh and the movie Night Shift with Henry Winkler playing a dork, Michael Keaton in a loincloth, and Shelley Long playing a hooker. Now that was lovely. I also learned that Burt Bacharach wrote "That's What Friends Are For". Interesting.
  • I did spend some extra time with my folks this weekend, which was good. Took my parents and Michelle to dinner at Dennys on Saturday night, and on Sunday I took them to Newpark Mall. My mom got me some new flipflops and sneakers. Nice since I only had 2 pairs of shoes anyway. My flipflops are almost worn completely down. Thanks Payless Shoe Source for your buy 1 get 1 free sale!
  • I haven't been to the gym or exercising since last Tuesday, which sucks. I am planning on going walking with Michelle most of this week. I need to get back in the groove.
  • Oh yeah one more thing. Neither the ER doctor nor my gynocologist could find anything "wrong". Just heavy bleeding. More probs next month may warrant further investigations into the mystery of what I call my uterus.

my uterus is being taken over by an alien being

:)

  • This is my last blog before my mini-vacation in SoCal this weekend. I'm leaving on Thursday evening. I'm excited.. not trying to spend lots of dough, but I do need to get away. Sometimes I think I get in over my head with all my jobs and personal responsibilities. So I like to reward myself. Probably too much. Oh well.
  • So I went to the gym on Tuesday morning. I probably won't be hitting the gym again until next week. Michelle and I plan on doing the groceries right after I leave work today, which is fine. I'm having the cramps from hell anyway.
  • Things are looking good besides that. I may make an announcement soon about decisions I made, once things are set in stone, and I tell people that need to be told. Nothing scary or traumatizing, I promise. Just some of you are a little overreactive. You know who you are.
:(
  • Like I mentioned before, I have the cramps from hell. I've never doubled over and seen black spots before, but I did today. In my car. Not cool. I was really tempted to call in sick, but didn't for several good reasons. It is hard to find someone to cover my shift on short notice. No one likes overnight shifts. Also, I'm not a big weinee. Unless I'm physically dying, I go to work. I'm just that way. Now if my boss comes in at 5:30 and I still feel like crap I may go home early and use an hour or so of sick pay. But that is it. I am hardcore. I have never in my life been in this much pain. Except toothaches.. but this is second place.
