fun weekend

I had a fairly okay weekend. Friday I hung out with Davina, Victoria and Brad at Southshore (sooned to be named Alameda Town Centre) in Alameda. We ate at Applebees, then walked around and browsed at Safeway. Later Davina and I browsed at Walgreens. We are such nerds.

Saturday I worked in the morning in San Francisco as I always do, then took Michelle and my momma to Newpark Mall to do some more Xmas shopping. It was pretty fun. Between that and Amazon.com both my sisters are taken care of. I also bought a few more generic gifts that I buy people when I'm not sure what to get them or if I'm buying them anything period. You know, the friends you might just send a card to instead, then they call you or hit you up on Myspace and go "Hey, let's get together for coffee, and exchange presents" and you're thinking "Oh shit, good thing I got that box of fudge/lotion gift basket." Haha.

Sunday was alright. I did my airshift at KKIQ. I think I still need lots of work. I don't think I smile enough when I'm onair. The new chick that's on after me sounds oh so much better. She also sounds kinda forced though, so I dunno. It's hard to find a medium between forced and sounding bored. LOL. Later on I took Michelle and Mom to OSH to get firewood, then Kmart to check out sales on Xmas crap. I got a new catbed for Turbo. He dragged his stuffed ducky into it so apparently he likes it. In the evening Cathy and T.J. came over, and we watched lots of Flip That House and we learned all about big trucks and cranes from T.J. Now I'm at work. The End.

it's gonna be okay

Well we heard some semi-bad news about my mom yesterday. She has to go back on dialysis again. Either that or die. So yeah she has to start again next week. Basically her kidney function is going to shit again. Right after she got out of the hospital 3 years ago she was on dialysis for a year, then her kidney function went up and she got to stop. Apparently it's down again. Yesterday everyone in my family was so scared that mom is going to die, even my dad cried. And he never cries. I have the feeling that as long as mom obeys the doctor's orders, she'll be okay. Today she seemed in better spirits, and went shopping with Michelle and my dad.

I was also in a pissy mood yesterday because some fucker was making fun of me on Youtube. I basically posted videos on there because I wanted an online host for them. Some 17 year old emo girl decided to be mean and called me a cow, etc. Even though I have a tough exterior and have a positive attitude, it still hurts when I get called names. That bitch needs to get a life, for real.

On a positive note, I hung out with Cathy, Amy, Michelle, and Sean earlier tonight. They gave me a makeover and I look cute. I'll post pictures soon, I promise. Our friend Dave was telling Amy that one of the guys at his halloween party was asking about me. Maybe we can go on a triple date. I would be so nervous, but it's worth it, I'd love to go out and meet new guys.

This weekend should be cool. Tommorrow I'm goin to Applebees with work folks. Saturday of course I work in the morning then I'm doing a bit more Xmas shopping with Michelle. Sunday morning I work at KKIQ, then I work here again Sunday night. Not too much excitement this weekend, but I'll still have fun nonetheless.

reflections

The last few days have been pretty uneventful. I think my ex finally understands how I feel about him. He always IMs me and says "love u". I love him too, but not the same way. I love him as a friend, he will always have a place in my heart. I want him to succeed in life, and pursue his dreams. I know he will always be willing to "walk through hell" for me, as he's proclaimed his undying love for me. It's hard to find a man with that type of devotion. I just don't think it would ever work out. He needs to do stuff on his own. He's emotionally and financially dependent. I don't want to end up on COPS as they're taking him away and I'm left with like 3 babies or something. I still want to keep in contact on a regular basis though.

Life has been doin okay besides that. Same old stuff lately. Working, going to the gym, hanging out way too much with Michelle. I love my older sister, but I'll be so relieved when she goes back to work on the 15th. I see her like every freakin day, and yes it helps beat boredom at home. Sometimes I just need my alone time.

Started on the Xmas shoppin

I had a pretty okay weekend. Not a whole lot of excitement, but that's okay. Friday I got some sleep and was going to the Olive Garden with Noelle, Jolene and Michelle, but by the time we got there and learned the wait was 45 min-an hour, I had to go. I had to be at Rosa's house for the Mary Kay party. The party was cool, I got a facial. LOL I ended up not buying anything, mostly cuz I'm cheap.

Saturday I worked in the morning and everything was pretty cool. I went shopping at Newpark Mall with Michelle that afternoon, and got a few Xmas gifts out of the way. Mostly small gifts for friends and few gifts for relatives. I'll start my major shopping in early December, but getting a few gifts bought really helps in the long run. I also got new Mickey Mouse and Scooby Doo wrapping paper since at least one of my rolls was destroyed at my party last week. I think I may salvage my other Scooby Doo roll though, I'll have to see. I know Sesame Street was totalled. LOL

Sunday I did my airshift at KKIQ and helped Tricia with typing some copy. It was pretty easy, but I'm retarded when it comes to following directions so I had to redo it a few times. I'd make one awful secretary. My airshift went pretty darn good. I stayed an extra hour to help the new chick so I need to email my boss about that. I decided to take a nap before my shift today and woke up at like 10:40, about 10 min later then I wanted to. Then I threw my food together, forgot my iPod :(, and went outside to discover my car was sandwiched between two cars. It took FOREVER to eventually squeeze my way out. Thank god I have a smallass compact car. The rest of my week should be pretty uneventful. I'd do an aircheck this week but I have plans for Friday, so I'm hoping for scheduling one next Friday.

Such is life

I've had an okay couple of days. Went to Olive Garden with Amy and Cathy tonight, I had a coupon. LOL It was yummy.

Other than that, nothing too eventful goin on. I was trying to plan an aircheck with my boss for tommorrow but he hasn't responded to the email I sent on Monday night. So I'm totally free tommorrow. I'm going to some kind of Mark Kay party with Cathy that her pal Rosa is doing, so that's going to be interesting. The rest of my weekend is gonna be the same ol shit. Michelle wants to start Xmas shopping on Saturday afternoon, but I don't have a ton of money. Maybe I can buy a few things, but not much. Such is life.

I had a pretty fun weekend. Friday's partying was okay. Dave's party was pretty good, I didn't know that many folks there and Cathy was so busy getting shitfaced. Davina and I were making new friends, so it was cool.

I had a blast at my party on Saturday night. More people came than expected, and we had a fantastic time.

Workwise, I had challenges at both my parttime jobs this weekend. At KDFC one of the other board ops wasn't doing his job and we called him on it. He was very mad. Lots of drama. At KKIQ I was training a new chick. She has a great voice and great energy, but is struggling to follow format. That's okay, she's still a rookie. Ok here's some pics of the party.

Fire is my friend

Today we had fire extinguisher training here at work. It was pretty fun. Kinda boring, but fun. I'm working a 12 hour shift on top of it so it's like I'm getting double time for sitting through the boring video and putting out a fire. Oh well, that was a good 26 bucks earned before taxes. LOL

I'm having terrible woman probs today. Not really getting into it, but it's not pretty. I hate being a girl sometimes.

This weekend I should be having fun partying with friends, and working my parttime jobs. I'm training a new chick for a while on Sunday morning, hope I don't look like a doofus.

I'm havin an okay day today. I've spent the last few days doing a lot of chillin at home, watching Cops and such. LOL That's how exciting my life is, huh?

I just found out from one of my coworkers at KKIQ that I've been doing my commercial breaks wrong. So for 10 months I've been doing it the wrong way. Oh Lord. When she told me that I felt like a total retard. Oh well, now I know better.

This weekend I'm going to be partying up the wazoo. Friday night Davina and I are going to two parties. The first one is in Danville and it's a work party for KKIQ, so I'm just showing up for about an hour. Then we're going to Stockton for my friend Dave's party for a few hours. Saturday night I'm throwing a Halloween party of my own, and I have to work the next morning. That's going to be one interesting airshift. LOL

Right now I'm listening to my homeboy Denny's 80s podcast he does every week. I'm a few weeks behind so I'm catchin up on my 80s goodness. I love 80s.

Today I finally had fun with my friends, and didn't feel so repetetive. Lately I've been sticking close to home and watching TV before work. Tonight I had dinner with Cathy and Amy then drove around aimlessly like we enjoy doing, listening to Dane Cook. It was so darn fun.

I'm seriously considering getting contact lenses instead of glasses. I don't think that's too crazy of an idea. Then I can be one sexyass bitch. Haha. I'm so glad it's my "Friday" here at work. At least tommorrow night I can sleep normally and stuff. Next Thursday I'm working like 13 1/2 hrs because I'm insane. I'm doing some fire extinguisher training, then coming back later and working a 12 hour shift. The next night I'm going to a Halloween party. The morning after that I have to work, then later that night I'm having my own crazyass insane Halloween party. The next morning I'm on air at KKIQ, then I might go to a concert in Sacramento with Sandi. After that I would go straight here. That would be one crazy insane weekend.

This weekend shouldn't be that crazy. Tommorrow I'm goin to Costco with my folks and I'm making a list. It's like if I get stuff that's great, if I don't get everything I'm not trippin, since Michelle will pick it up next week for me at Albertsons. Saturday I'm goin to my pal Kimmie's bday party in Lodi, that should be fun too. Yay.

Wish I could go back to school...

Lately I've been going crazy at work for some reason. I think it's because of the monotony of it all. I get paid to do almost nothing every week, and listen to some of the most annoying music ever. It's like bad opera plus a barber shop quartet rolled into one. Then people come on and talk in a monotone voice about the wrath of God and how the rest of us are going to hell.

I need something to break up the routine. I really want to go back to school and get my B.A. I'd have to take a couple more classes in order to transfer to San Jose or San Francisco State. I was thinking I could take 2 classes a quarter, mostly in the evenings. I would need financial help, but I think I make too much money to qualify. Online colleges are cool, but it's not in a subject I want to study. I want to get my B.A. in Radio/TV/film. If only there was a way. I know God gave me this brain for more than babysitting radio stations. *sigh*

Why are some people just so fuckin dishonest? Trying to steal people's Myspace profiles? Using their credit card numbers? It's absolutely terrible. People are such assholes.

Good news. I'm off from my fulltime job on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day, the weekend guy switched some shifts with me so he could have the following weekend off. Awesomeness.

Fraudulent fuckers

I found out today that some fucker tried to use my ATM card number to sign up for a porn membership. No way, that ain't happening. I called the 800 number for the pay site and gave them a piece of my mind, so they are reversing the charges and trying to track down the person's IP address. I also talked to my bank, they are claiming that as an unauthorized charge and launching an investigation as well. The only bummer is I'm getting a new ATM card, but I have to wait up to 10 business days to get it. So I have to go inside the bank and withdraw money the old school way. LOL

I hope I have a good weekend. I've got an aircheck meeting at 1:30 tommorrow and hopefully it will go well. I'll probably kick it with Davina later that night. Saturday I'm working in the morning then doing some shopping with Michelle that afternoon. I might as well get the baby shower present and mulitiple bday presents and cards out of the way. Ugh. Least I got paid today. Yay for me.

I was workin it today

Nothing too thrilling going on here on the Lisa front. I have an aircheck with my boss at KKIQ on Friday afternoon and I'm kinda nervous. I compared my tape from this last Sunday to one a month ago, and noticed I need to watch my volume again. I'm going to bring both tapes with me, to compare with my boss. I want him to know I am making a decent effort to improve. At least I'm trying. I can't help talking so loud, it's a habit I picked up for 5 years at KCRH.

This morning I went to the gym and really worked it for an hour. I've been going twice a week lately, but usually I'm so tired I only have the energy to get through 40 min of treadmill then trudge home. Today I walked up to 2.5 mph (i have really short legs so this is fast for me)for like 35 minutes, then did 100 ab crunches on the ab machine, then did about 50 leg presses. I think I'll do more arm work on Thursday morning when I go back. Tommorrow morning I'm going to go home, eat some oatmeal, start some laundry, and hit the hay. It's my dad's bday and we're having cake/ice cream around noon. I got him a Jeff Foxworthy Redneck calendar to use for next year. He'll love it. He's where I get my gross sense of humor from.

I had a fantastic weekend. I went to Reno with Cathypoo and boy did we have a blast. I won money, and lost money too. Oh well, great experience. I'm going to let pictures tell my story.

Why is one of my friends always pissed at me? If it's not one, its the other. One of my pals called me while I was driving and halfway paying attention on Sunday evening asking if I wanted to possibly go to a ballgame on Friday, which is later today. At the time I said yeah I guess. She wasn't sure if we were going because it's a playoff game, and she didn't know if she could get off of work. Well my sister asked me 2 days ago if I wanted to go to Reno with her, and of course I said hell yes. At the time I didn't think about the baseball game, because I figured the odds were slim of us going anyway. Well my pal IMed me about 30 min ago and I remembered about the ballgame.. and I told her I couldn't go, that I'm going to Reno. She was very disappointed. I wish she would have reminded me earlier so I could have let her know earlier. I love baseball games, but I never get to spend a day or two away from everyone. So I decided to do what's going to make me happier.

I don't generally get pissed when people back off from plans. I just end up going myself, or doing something else. That's my way of doing things. Guess I'm weird.

Also, I got my new tooth today, it's awesome. My gum's a little sore, but they said it would be that way for a few days. This time tommorrow I'm gonna be drunk and partying in Reno.. woot woot!

Reno here I come!

Hmm what's goin on in Lisaland, huh? Nothing much. I may go to Pirates of Emerson on Thursday evening, if I get passes. It will be awesomeness. On Friday, Cathy and I are going to Reno for a day or so. I don't have to work from Friday morning until Sunday morning so I have almost 2 days of freedom. We may stay overnight, depending on hotel prices and such. I'll have to check that out in a bit. I'm not going to go crazy spending money, but we can have a good time I'm sure. It's fun to get away for a day, ya know.

Other than that, nothing new going on. I have a friend who contiues being bossy and a stick in the mud, and she wonders why people don't like hanging out with her. She only likes things her way, and isn't open to other people's opinions. It's driving me nuts. Sometimes I just wanna smack some sense into that woman.

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday evening I hung out with Davina. I was bad and had a hot fudge brownie a la mode at Dennys. Then we went to my house after visiting Borders and made another dancing video, this time in my cow costume. Saturday morning I worked in SF, it was the same old stuff. Nothing too eventful. That evening I went to Noelle's bday party. The gift we got her was something she already had so now I'm taking Michelle back to Barnes and Noble to get a giftcard or something. After the party I dropped of Jolene, then hung out with Davina for a bit. She's insane.

Sunday I worked at KKIQ as always. I didn't do too bad this time, I'm getting better. This week was aircheck worthy. Then in the afternoon I went to Modesto to hang out with Sandi. Things didn't go as planned, but I still had fun. We drove to the world's largest cornfield maze, but it was closed due to weather. It had been raining a little bit that afternoon. So we went to another cornfield which was also closed. :(

We ended up going to the movies, and seeing Little Miss Sunshine. It's a comedy.. not haha funny.. but indie funny. I liked it. I'm going to have to get it on DVD to show Davina. LOL Also, the little girl in the movie resembles me as a small child. HAHA

I am that crazy

Lately I don't know why but people all over the place are annoying the hell out of me. Maybe it's because I work overnights alone, that could be it. But people are annoying. I just like being left alone sometimes. Some people are so desperate for attention that they don't notice. Ugh.

In other news I got my temporary crown for my incisor tooth on Wednesday. It feels so freakin weird, and I can't wait to get my permanent one next week. I don't look forward to dentist appointments, but I like my teeth looking good. Now once I start losing more weight I'll be a sexyass bitch soon enough. Format flips

My weekend was fairly normal. I worked a lot, and I think I'm getting better on air at KKIQ. Speaking of radio stuff, KFRC flipped formats about 3 days ago and is Rhythmic AC now.. really interesting. It's a mix of Star 101.3 and KMEL.. muy intersante. I like it though, it's actually one of the presets in my car. Not that I listen to radio much, I mean I work in it 51 hours a week, I kinda need a break. LOL One of my KKIQ coworkers was less than enthusiastic about the switch, mostly because format flips suck for the jocks who lose their jobs. Also, some PDs are just plain retarded. Including this one.

I really need to clean my house, I'm going to do that when I get home from work. I have a sink full of dishes, some of them from like 5 days ago. That's priority #1. Then I'm changing Turbokitty's litterbox, definite importance. Then I'm cleaning my kitchen area and sink, then my bathroom. Then I'll wipe down some of the walls in my bedroom area since I noticed dust/dirt in corners today. Then I'm gonna do a good sweeping/mopping. Then I'll straighten my desk area which is getting rather cluttered. Oh yeah, I need to upload pics from the As game, etc onto my computer and email them to folks. Okay, now you all know what I do for housework. Have a lovely day. :)

Getting annoyed at work.

This woman here at work who works down the hall is driving me fucking insane. She usually gets here 3 or so hours early, at like 3:30am, way too early. Yesterday, she was here at 2:30.. even earlier. And she comes in here and bothers the hell out of me for up to 30 min periods. Then she leaves, and comes in later on. Yesterday I ignored her and worked on a Myspace survey, and she just sat there watching me type for 20 minutes. She can't read body language obviously. I discussed this with my boss and he suggested locking the door to the hallway. If I do that, she'll call my extension and bug me. I just don't know what to do about the woman. Guess I'll sit here and put up with it. Jesus help me.

Besides that, life is okay. Amy got in a car accident Tuesday morning. She's okay with a few bruises, but her car isn't. It's probably gonna be totaled, poor thing.

My parents gave me so much freakin food it's unreal. All I'm gonna ask for grocerywise next week is probably yogurt, coffee cups, hair gel and mop n glow stuff. Other than that, I'm all set.

Feeling emo..

I had a really good visit with the dentist on Monday. I really wanted to chicken out, but I didn't. Dr. Nyugen is so nice. I'm getting my front tooth crowned next Wednesday morning. I'm not looking forward to it, but oh well.

Today I've been so damn depressed. I'm excited for my best friend Fernando since he found out he's having a boy. At the same time I'm kinda sad because I wish I could start a family of my own. It seems the only guys I get are stupid irresponsible ones, or ones out for sex. Can't I find a guy who likes me for who I am and treats me decent? Someone responsible and fun loving? I want to find a soulmate too ya know.

Plus some asshole on Myspace messaged me telling me the only reason "the blonde chick" (who is my sister) hangs out with me is because I'm the DUFF (designated ugly fat friend). Don't worry, I blocked his ass. Still pissed me off. What a meanass bastard. I just wish things could go right for me. I'm always the happy goofy one in my group of friends, and if it wasn't for my funnyass facade I think I wouldn't have many friends at all. (sigh)

I hate dentists.

This weekend has been totally work and sleep. Almost nothing but work and sleep. I worked here Friday night then at KDFC from 7am to noon, then home to sleep. Then I got up, took a shower, made dinner, and went back to work again until 5am, then I did my airshift at KKIQ from 6am to noon. I went to my parents' house to pick up my fruits/veggies they got for me from the Farmers Market, went home and did housecleaning for an hour, then finally went to bed and got 7 hours of sleep. Then I woke up, took a shower and came here. Yay.

Tommorrow (today, whatever) I have a dentist appt. I'm kinda nervous because I know I have really messed up teeth and I hope the dentist is nice. It's only cleaning and xrays, but that's still gonna suck. Ugh.. lord help me. Oh yeah, my friend's dog is at the vet hospital, they found a lump on him and they are doing a biopsy. Hope the little guy doesn't have cancer. Why are all these animals getting sick? I hope he's gonna be okay, and I hope Turbokitty stays healthy.

I had fun the last few days. I worked early Thursday morning at KKIQ, havin fun just talking on the air and playing great music. I love working at that station. I was off on Thursday for once, due to a weird schedule switch with the weekend guy here at Family Radio. I got some shopping done, but not everything I needed. My halloween shopping is complete, I got a part for my new used dryer, and some Corona for my neighbor who gave me the washer/dryer. I still need to get my dad a birthday present as well as one for my older sister Michelle. I think I'll wait for my next big payday in a few weeks and hold on to my money for now.

Before I know it the holidays will be here, and its gonna be CRAZZZY!! Like Gnarls Barkley crazy yo. Oh yeah don't worry Victoria, I'll email you those pics woman!!

RIP LittleHead

One of my parents' cats died today. LittleHead had cancer in her nose, sinus cavity and her left eye socket. My family only noticed because her eye was swollen and gross yesterday morning. My older sister and dad took her to the vet and found out the bad news, and LittleHead got put to sleep. Poor kitty. She was like 12 or 13, but it's still sad. I hope TurboKitty never gets cancer. I'd cry. :(

I got my new Halloween costume today. I'm gonna be a cow. MOOOOOOO. Amy took pictures, I'm sure she'll email them to me soon. I should have em up here by the weekend. I went to Sonic again, their banana splits kick major ass.

On another note, I'm excited because I have the next two days off from here. Tommorrow night I'm doing an overnight shift at KKIQ, and Thursday night I'm completely free so I'm getting shitfaced. So exciting!! Believe me, the opportunity to get drunk is rare with my work schedule. I have a picnic with some work friends on Friday afternoon, but if I show up kinda out of it, so what? LOL

Okay today I'm in a much better mood then I was in a few days ago. I was pissed off at one of my good pals but I'm over it now. I can't stay pissed at anyone for too long. It's just my nature.

Last night I was at KKIQ on air, it was so much fun. I love talking on air. :)

Tonight I'm back here at Family Radio, doin the same old stuff. I don't mind it though, I get paid almost $14 an hour to do nothing, I'm not complaining. Today Cathy, Sean, and Amy came over. They all got drunk, and I took hilarious pics of them all. I'll probably post them next week or something, need to upload them to my computer first. I think I'm losing some of my belly fat. Either that or my jeans really are slimming. LOL I've been hitting the gym twice a week and trying to avoid eating crap, and it's been paying off. It I can finally get below 214, I'm getting somewhere.

What fun today..

My weekend was okay, nothing terribly exciting or troubling. I worked my fanny off as usual. Friday night I hung out with Noelle. Saturday I worked, then did a lot of resting/TV watching. It felt great. Sunday morning I worked at KKIQ. That day did not start pleasantly. I woke up to my cat pissing on my bathmat, reminding me to change his litterbox in his own special kitty way. That was fantastic. Then at KKIQ, only the freight elevator seemed to work, but after it opened it didnt let me up to the 5th floor. So I walked up to the 5th floor only to discover the door to the stairwell was locked. I tried calling the request line in the station but Ron didn't pick up. So I walked all the way back down 5 flights of stairs and went outside on the intercom and got a hold of Ron. He shot an elevator down to me, and I finally made it back up. Something else of note, my friend Joe started working at KKDV today. First he did the weather for Traffic.com when I boardopped at KDFC on Saturdays. He also does traffic on CBS in the mornings. And he boardops for Max FM. And now he is on air at KKDV and KUIC. LMAO. This guy is all over the place.

I picked up a new digital camera at Best Buy. My old one bit the dust sometime on Friday or Saturday, I'm not sure. Poor thing. This one is uber-awesome. I will have fun playing with it later tonight. Also, I have 11 hours overtime on this next check!! Whooooooo!
